Over half my bag has been taken over by lone star since I found them several months ago. Just received a package with a handful more discs from them, I expect they'll all make the bag as well, judging from how much I love the plastic I have from them already.

glad you did this review, I already had 2 penny putters, I think my main goal with lonestar is to buy a mid, fairway, and a couple of distance drivers in the v1 or v2 plastics. that way I can throw those on certain water holes. but I mainly like innova and I'm really liking the mvp/axiom discs.

You are living the dream my man. I know it is a lot of work that you are putting into it but at least it looks like you are having a lot of fun. One day I would like to be able to tour around with my 4 kids and wife and just check out all the courses wherever we go. Thanks for this video. I have been really curious on Lone Star Discs. Most people only cover a few of their discs so it was really helpful that you covered them all. I need a Texas Ranger for sure. Maybe the Middy.

Lone Star played a good hand hooking you up with discs even though you were low on subscribers, because you wont stay low on subscribers and I'd rather see real opinions on discs than a manufactured hype train! Cool to see you playing in my part of the country! If you come through the Missoula area, the must hit course is Spiritwood in Victor, Montana. Great 22 hole woods course that's been there since the 80's. Blue Mountain in Missoula is also worth it and Darby has a solid new course that is still a bit of a work in progress. I live on the Idaho side in Salmon and we have some pretty fun but rugged courses as well.

The Bowie was a slightly different mold in the early days. It was a 13 speed that flew similar to the chupa. Much more beef. The new ones turn a lot more.

Just started to dabble with lone star discs, really a fan of the Texas Ranger too. New, imo, it is more OS than the number suggest. maybe a 0,2 instead of -1,1, and it has very nice glide. I'm a lower arm speed player(max 310), and was surprised how flippy the Guadalupe is. Was hoping it would be a beat in tee bird, but it more reminds me of an Innova TL. The victor plastics feel really good for putting, being Im a fan of a tackier putter.

I have all of their discs. Their glow plastics are the best. Love the Dillo as an approach disc, the Curl is good but I prefer a Gstar Wraith for that slot (only Innova I throw). Tumbleweed is awesome for me and the Mockingbird (sadly lost to a government building with barbed wire).

I LOVE the Harpoon as a utility disc. Especially if you have a water hole where you really don’t want to sacrifice any discs, I can throw it on almost any line. It’s also the disc I’d use for a “mid-only” round. Forehand. Backhand. Putt with it. V1/V2 floats. 🤌

I really like the Mockingbird - it’s a great disc. I’ve only been playing for six months (after never even throwing a frisbee my whole life to that point). As my mechanics have improved and my power has increased, I’ve been able to push into double digit speed discs. I’ve had to adjust my expectations and what type of shots I throw with it, but it comes out of my hand really nice and I trust it a lot.
@BodanzaDiscGolf2 жыл бұрын
LOVE the mockingbird. Definitely check out the curl if you're in that 10 to 11 speed range, not super overstable but goes pretty far!
@taylorsheridan4358 Жыл бұрын
The harpoon is unbelievable for players like me who throw one finger forehands. Beware though she isn't a zone. Much more throw smooth and flat than just throw as hard as you can without caring about off axis torque. Wonderful point and shoot forehand disc for me. Where the Texas ranger always turns a little and the middy and walker dump too quickly.
