I’ve tried several wheel bases. Logitech G Pro, Simagic Alpha, and now the Asetek Invicta. The Invicta is incredible. I’m shocked they haven’t sent you their product to review. I would love to hear your input. It’s buttery smooth and the fine details are incredible. Come on Asetek, send this man the Invicta! Great video as always bro. Much love!

I use the previous version lc100 CAMMUS pedals and their 15nm wheelbase. Can't fault it for my needs, especially the wheelbase as I can use exactly the same Sparco wheel as I have in my race car. Took quite a while to get the brake pedal and throttle pedal to feel right for me but that's been the case with all pedals I've tried.

Used the c5 before switching to moza ecosystem. The c5 is a really good value for those on a budget, especially if you never plan on swapping your wheel. The ffb it provides is really strong with great feedback since the motor is literally in the middle of the wheel.

Speaking entirely from an "enthusiast level PC & sim racer", the cheap gear is marketed specifically to the very casual desk racer, but we all gotta start someplace.
@chepilevski2 ай бұрын
That’s true, i spent my first 5 years with G25 and 27 and still had as much blast as now. Is not good idea to start with 5k setup anyway we must be sure we like the hobby first 😁

@@chepilevski Not saying the low end gear doesn't work, but when you start adding on more gear, you'll quickly see it's deficiencies surface. I started with G27-T300 and once I got my first set off Protosimtech pedals, my took a turn towards middling/high-end gear.

hey racing beyond matter. i've been loving your videos for a very long time i believe you are in my eyes the best sim racing youtuber. i build my simrig with big orientations towards yours as monitor size specs how the wheelbase is mounted behind the monitors and i must say your ways seem to be the best ways from my perspective. it is now time for me to say goodbye to my moza r5 wheelbase as i wanna upgrade to something more realistic. i've been looking at a lot of different options. i recently stumbled across a company called VRS. they seem to have rly nice products. would you recomend the wheelbase and the pedals ? im sorry for the long message. thank you so much for all your hard work on youtube that you put up here for us to enjoy.

I own the pedals, im having some problem regarding the loadcell jumping in signal on very low forces, makes it very hard to trailbreak properly. And i cant for my life figur out why they don't have a percentage or some kind of value in the software when you are calibrating the pedlar. I want to know a value on how much of the 100kg loadcell i'm actually using when calibrating the pedals both to compare to friends but also be able to calibrate it to the same value next time i need to re calibrate them. On another note, great video as always! Love all the b-roll shots

Did you try to put some preload on the spring? I didn’t personally liked very much that spring as it was bit too soft for my like and barely add pressure to the loadcell! Can you try to add enough preload to fully isolate the spring compression and see if that stabilize the input? Thx for the kind words buddy 🤛

I didnt like how the cammus felt even when i messed with settijgs. But as you said you feel like all ffb is the same for how long you have been playing lol. To me it just had a different feeling to the force overall. Its good but not my favorite. But im one who can feel differences in all wheelbases. For me none feel identical. And i like using settings as each brand differs. Im not using wheels to het them to feel idnetical. Thats not the point imo. I search for what they do best and set them to that. Some are better at suspension so i make sure to set them as much as i can for that feeling. Some fele better with the understeer feel so i can pull that out. Ive foujf everu wheelbase seems to do something better then the other. I dont then adjust to get them all to feel the same as usually when doijg that you are reducing some of the special things some bases do better then others. Like some wheels are faster so i dont then refuce it to make it feel like another. Of course we can make all wheelbases feel good or we can use no filters and see the differences in motors or how they relay in game feedback. All depends on how you test and what you are searching for in feel. But yes you can afjust for bases to feel similiar. But you can also adjust to make some bases feel extrodinary in comparison. Most of the tine getting wheelbases to feel similiar you wre doing some sort of reduction in feeling to match another and for me it defeats the purpose of different wheelbases. Just my take on how I test wheelbases. Not all software is the same and not all settings react the same way. Good example of this. If you use simagic and use friction or inirtia you will get reduced ffb. If you lower those or turn it off the details come out more. So how you use it may not feel the same or maximize details. Yet with other wheelbases some dont reduce detaols with inirtia or friction which is why i say you can either limit or allow for wheelbases to be the best at what they do. Or you could like things differently. This goes for anybody with preference or how they use wheelbases. Like i may use friction on one. But not on the other because one may reduce details while the other doesnt. All things that change and matter to me. Like me idc about noise or frequncy feeling buzz or sound. So i use 0 on frequencies and 0 on smoothness for my simagic i use inirtia at 5 and friction at 5 so im getting way way more detail then you may since thats how i set it. See what im saying? If we all went by our onw details when testing wheelbases side by side nobody will truely know what one wheelbase does better then another because then you are just trying to get them all to feel the same. Which always means you are taking away from one and adding to another. Instead of testing with less filters to see the maximum potential of the wheelbases. Some have more detail on curbs, some more suspension, some grip, and so on. Ive found so many differences with wheelbases. Especially the difference in how settings do react with each.

Force Feedback with Direct Drive is a completely different sensation... As a professional driver who earned my Class 1 license in the UK, I can say that the Fanatec Clubsport DD+ is on another level entirely. The force feedback provides much more detailed and realistic feedback compared to belt or gear-driven wheels.
@reviewforthetube64852 ай бұрын
@FedorBrickTop I actually agree and I was talking about dd wheels. Also the cammus is a dd wheel.

@FedorBrickTop well the dd+ is very good. Its one of the better direct drive wheelbases. It gets to much hate all begause of the fanstec issues that have happened. I've been a defender of the dd+ for a while. I own a simagic ultimate and a dd+ I'm about to own the asetek invicta also.

Loved the review. Not sure if you tested if in rally games, like RBR, but would you run 100% CF Filter or only in ACC as you mentioned, and if you did test with rally and drifting, did you use Natural Inertia?
@chepilevski2 ай бұрын
RBR must need to put down the CF if feels too harsh and I did drive some RX cars going sideways with zero inertia and was still too fast in returning probably because of the small diameter! For that kind of driving I may use some friction just to slow it little for full rotation in return 🤛
@balazsvoros21402 ай бұрын
@@chepilevski So you would use friction rather than inertia to help with too fast returning rotation in drifting/rally? I have the CF set at 85% not sure if you think it's to much or not. (I'm not really good with making my own FFB settings and there aren't a lot of people sharing them for the C5)

If you want very stiff pedal above 110kg the AP ultimate are the best there is no question about it but under 110kg the AP Pro is absolutely the same thing!
