Thanks for running with my suggestion, Jim! Good to see an edit using multiple instances of luminosity masks. You've given us lots of great ideas as usual!

Thanks Jim, I need to try the Luminosity Mask and see how it works on my travel pictures. Meanwhile, you hinted the transform option for the aspect control, this is something I missed for a long time. Previously, my memory was - Luminar 4 has the aspect control in Crop Tool which was gone in Luminar Neo. You helped me to find it again, thanks.

I see how powerful luminosity masks can be for landscapes. And I liked that image you were working on. Another great video Jim, thanks for sharing.

Fascinating! A game changer. Never knew about this until Jim’s tutorials. A great thanks.

To be fair they only appeared in the latest update, although they used to be there in Luminar 3 and 4 years ago. But now they are back and it's all good!

Thanks Jim!!! As always, love the videos. Do you know if there is a way to add a white boarder around my photos in Luminar Neo? Thanks in advance for any info.

thanks much and there is no tool for that, so I would do it in PS or another app

Exposure blending for higher end architecture photography (using luminosity masks) is quite common when complete control is needed beyond hdr.
@JimNix5 ай бұрын
yes absolutely, a common use for this for sure

Another great video Jim, beautiful image of one of the finest markets anywhere. I spend many years working in this area of London and know it well. I have been using this mask almost exclusively since you suggested its use on previous videos. I use Darkroom+ on my IOS devices but this software only lets you use the basic sliders. Does Neo for IOS works the same as the desktop version or is also limited? Thanks for sharing.
@JimNix5 ай бұрын
thanks much and the iPad version of Neo does not have masking yet, so it's more basic in editing

@JimNix How do you get the reflection of the landscape in the water when there isn't any naturally in the water without using Luminar Neo's generative tools?
@JimNix4 ай бұрын
You would have to add a layer, flip it and mask it into the right place. Takes some work but it's doable.

@@JimNix Are you able to do it on Luminar Neo? If so, could you please do it on video?
@JimNix4 ай бұрын
@@UneGrenadeCa yes you can do that in Luminar but I don't have plans to make a video about that at this time.
