It’s NOVEMBER and City for the first time under Pep have had loads of players rolling in and out of their squad from injury but yet they’re still 2nd (5 points off top), and still can qualify for KO’s for the UCL.. Can’t wait to get to April and see how the narrative will have spun 🤣
@1972dsrai11 күн бұрын
Lfc fan. Losing Rodri and key defenders has been a massive blow for Pep, but he’ll find a way to get the team back on track I’m sure of it. Liverpool need to take as much advantage as possible before the bounce back. City are really the only team that can stop us. Its only November and so way too early about thinking we’ve won it. What we do have is a strong squad with experienced players who’ve won the big trophies so that will help keep other players focussed and not get carried away.

A few seasons ago Laporte was the only defender not injured.And he was having injections. We had Fernandinho and Rodri in defence. Somehow we still won the league. We've played with no striker when Aguero was out. Its happened but certainly not like this. Liverpool had the same issues last season and still won the cup. We have no excuses.

@@michellemaggs75 “We have no excuse”. Are you joking? We haven’t had a trophyless season since 16/17. They just won 4 in a row. If anything, that’s a testament to Pep and the players to have kept the mentality to win year after year after winning so much. Id like to win cos I hate losing but there’s absolutely no pressure on us to win.

People don’t understand how big the running factor is, the reason liverpool were so bad in 22/23 was cus the midfield had no legs, we had fabinho, henderson and milner most weeks who are firstly all slow and secondly late in their careers so their legs were gone to an extent, our front 3 would press then the midfield wouldn’t be able to do it as well as they did before so they’d play through our midfield, our defence and attack was still great its just we had no creativity or legs in midfield so we struggled.

Buvey and Rory agreeing on the fact that Rico Lewis is not good is criminal. 😮 Boy has been peak since the beginning of this season. The Kyle walker that they're backing got outplayed by Semenyo against Bournemouth, went on to play against against Brighton last week-end and got toyed by Mitoma and Estupinan. He literally won 0 duels on both games and had probably his worst two games of his recent career. For the longest time, the only attribute possessed by Kyle that's been keeping him relevant was his ability to handle quick winger because of his pace, but recently, I don't know if that's still the case because he got outran by Adama in our 3 - 2 win against Fulham last month. We all know he can't cross a ball into the box or score to save his life like other wing backs. Honestly, "I think football is slowly leaving him."

@@aaronfrancis134 not really mate. Id love them to be done. But they are currently challenging for league titles. And in 50 days time they get to buy 3 new shiny players. God I hate them.

Pep is getting most out of players! Nunez is a good player. Really like his potential. And playing really good top class last few games. Kova is not a starter city player Rico is too weak small for our defense

I’m sure city will be fine but just to stop Rory from blabbering on about something he doesn’t understand yes elite level athletes do need motivation more so when they’ve won everything there is to win multiple times and that mindset to keep going for more and be the one person who’s done the most isn’t something they all have it’s a Ronaldo or Messi mindset but it’s not standard a lot would be happy to prioritize other things or lose their motivation or be happy to win a few and then ride out the rest of their time when you do something so much to the point it becomes repetitive it also becomes boring these players probably need a new system new players new manager etc or go to a different league new challenge that’s probably why Liverpool look so good under the new manager it rejuvenated that hunger they was loosing they was burning out and fading off and that’s just from challenging city winning a few titles etc so image what city’s exhaustion is like

Its nothing to do with motivation like they have won everything and its repititive, nah they have not, Madrid went on for hattrick UCL without even thinking otherwise...its just that they lost two premium pieces of their chess board and i.e Rodri and Walker, add to that the poor form of Foden and a ageing squad and PEP's style of play is demanding more from such a ageing squad due to which they are suffering....they will be fine towards January, i know that

I think they might be at the end of the cycle, there’s not been a lot of turn over in this squad in the last few years so the players are burnt

Defensive crisis. Buy two players. CB RB he is right, bernardo can't run as much, also we have an aging struggling few top players. De bruyne, walker, stones. These were once key players that are no now. Foden is not right is a big part.

City don't have anything to worry about as fas as the CL is concerned. They'll qualify easily. They have a job retaining their PL title though.

Reason why fergie is the goat over pep is fergie used to win with less quality players on the pitch. Pep needs world class players to win.

Rory: “Today we’re going to be discussing the answer to the sum 2+2…” Miles: “2+2 = 13,638,225.968. I honestly think it does, to some degree.” Buvey: “Nah it’s 4. It’s 4, a million percent. And the reason why is because Guardiola invented the concept of mathematics in 2500BC in ancient Sumeria.” McKola: “21 is comin bruv!!!1!11!”
