I have the same cap, but from an older year. I love it. The window frames will leak eventually, but I seal them with a high-quality caulk.

Thanks for the look at your cap. Do you have any issues with the back door seal? I recently priced out a new one and the salesman said they have issues sealing in the tailgate area, letting dust in.

Yes! The back door seal did not do very well with every day dust and rain. I used an extra layer of adhesive foam that did the trick.

My side windows leak bad and the back rack broke off going down the road 2 days ago.Its only 6 months old.

Yes my side windows leaked also, I had to remove the metal retaining frame from the inside and take the windows out to reseal them. It was definitely worth it and not hard at all.

I am looking to do the same thing with my 2013 Quad Cab. Have you seen any other used ARE MX toppers with the walk thru door out there anywhere?

Yes actually I sold the one in the video and found another one on FB marketplace for an amazing price. Keep checking they're definitely out there!

I've heard that these give a few extra inches of room in the bed compared to where the tailgate would normally be, would you say that's accurate?

New this particular model is about $3500.

Could you use butyl tape instead to seal the windows?

Yes, I actually used that in addition to silicone. The butyl tape was hard to cover the corners/seams so I used some silicone also.

As much as they cost, you should of took it back to get it sealed by dealer!
