CIRS is a commonly discussed condition, but it's crucial not to brush it aside or prematurely attribute symptoms to it. A thorough evaluation is necessary to identify and address potential neurological, vascular, or other underlying issues causing symptoms before assuming it's CIRS. A case study of a patient who was initially diagnosed with CIRS was found to have carotid compression syndrome causing hypoperfusion in the brain, leading to the resolution of symptoms once the underlying vascular issue was addressed. Treating symptoms without addressing the root cause may be ineffective. Proper groundwork and ruling out other factors are essential before diagnosing and treating CIRS.
