I’m sure other clubs are very interested in Isak, but given what he cost Newcastle and the fact he still has 4 years left on his deal, I’m not sure who could afford the kind of fee that would make sense from Newcastle's perspective

So what exactly is the problem? You’re suggesting the problem is Eddie Howe by saying Bournemouth had similar issues but that’s rubbish. Eddie Howe does play an intensive style of play, that can lead to more injuries, you know that, I know that, so the board at Newcastle and the Director of Football should know that, which means they should have made sure there was better squad depth going into this season, they didn’t. That’s not on Eddie Howe. There’s been a lot of freak injuries but there have been some rumours that players were being played when they were not fully fit. That’s not Eddie Howes decision. The medical team says if a player is able to play, if they rule a player fit then the manager can play them, if they say the player is not fit then that should be it. Eddie Howe isn’t in charge of the medical team, that falls under the Director of Football. So again Eddie should have no control over playing unfit players, if he’s been allowed to decide then somebody above isn’t doing their job. Again Eddie Howe isn’t in charge of transfers either so if last summers transfer business wasn’t great that’s not an Eddie Howe issue either. Eddie Howe is solely responsible for training and game days, given all of the issues this season he’s done a great job.

Definitely been a disruptive season that's for sure. Lots of niggly injuries along with the long term ones too!

We e had so many long term injuries, and a suspension in one case, to our better players, that half of those players, such as Botman, Willock, big Joe and Tonali, will be like new signings next season.
