The real issue is that the NHS has been put on a pedestal and we can't even discuss what we want the NHS to look like in the future. The system is broken but no one is allowed to talk about it. The general public treats it as a free system without any personal responsibility. The population has increased faster than we can train staff and build hospitals. I feel sorry for the staff who have to try and work in this nightmare as no UK government is brave enough to try and fix it.

The reason that nurses were offered a low pay rise is that Wes Streeting’s NHS reforms will see a lot of nurses assisted err replaced by Moxi, the robot nurse. As the unions are minority donors now, they have less power and the private healthcare sector has donated large sums to the Labour Party. The other thing is that these are mainly working class women & they don’t count in today’s Labour Party. It’s Labour In Name Only (LINO).

My daughter and her friends are nurses and they care deeply for their patients and their families. But they are working 60 hours a week trying to keep their units safe. There’s a huge shortage of staff. Taking a nursing degree was once free, but Tories changed that, that’s one thing that needs to be reversed. And a massive recruitment campaign to facilitate the staffing problem.honestly if they assist nurses in their roles with recruitment I think that would help a lot. The environments they are working in are very toxic which is making work really difficult for them and I think it’s because nurses are exhausted. Free training for nurses…. Universities could help here. I took ( or half took) a degree in 2012 and it was shocking considering the cost. As a society we gotta stop being so greedy and making everything about money.
