Use a BHA w/ sunscreen that has Niacinamide in it. *A few people asked: What is a BHA cleanser? BHA is an abbreviation for beta hydroxy acid, also known as salicylic acid. (Thanks for the love yall)

At night use an oil-based cleanser followed by a regular cleanser. Then apply a retinol and top it off with a moisturizer that contains niacinamide. Just rub ice 3 times a day. The coldness will tighten the pores in your skin around those areas and all the dirt and oil that’s stuck in your skin will get squeezed out. And no dirt or oil will get in when the pores tighten up. Make sure to wash and scrub those areas with warm water before so the pores are open because of the heat. Then apply ice.

@@TheHousehold2066 it's not a thing tho, the person is wrong on so many levels. Pores don't open and close with heat, and they can't squeeze out dirt while doing so 💀 oil based cleanser clean out pores, and along with other products, you can minimise their appearance, and people with sensitive skin can find products that work for them. The only thing warm water/steam can do is soft the dirt so it's easy wash out, and the only thing ice can do is help with puffiness.

@@your.local.multistan It's best advised to find out how the company wants you to use their cleanser, but I usually do: step 1. Oil cleanse first (I usually do mine on dry or slightly damp skin) 2. Let the oil sit for 1-2 minutes so the good stuff in the oil absorbs into the skin 3. Wash off with a damp wash cloth (especially cause the oil I use clogs my drains haha) 4. speaking from personal experience, you can use pore strips sometimes, but the best they can do for you is nothing. you don't need a 15 step skincare routine, ALL you need is to wash your face once in the morning, once at night, use 1 moisturizer after washing that works for YOU (not something influencers tell you to buy, you just gotta trial and error your way through it, also they don't need to be expensive to be good), and wear sunscreen when you go outside. My skin doesnt react badly to pore strips. My cheap-ass solution is using a strip once every 1-2 weeks (always immediately following a hot shower) to clean out any buildup, and using a salicylic acid cleanser 1-2 times a day to prevent/slow down buildup. Probably not as great as using a bunch of expensive products, but 1 month in and my pores look better than they ever have

@@Orionyait is a dermatologist usually. Look at all options to treat acne though because if you have good medical insurance some acne treatments are covered completely by your insurance minus a small copay and some (like laser or chem peels) are considered cosmetic (not covered at all). If you have the money for cosmetic procedures, great, if you don't have too much or find laser out of budget see if your insurance covers you seeing and talking with a dermatologist (if you like them I suggest you stick with them in the future).

well the difference is the long-term and short term effects, if you really have a severe issue with those pores/sebaceous filaments then you may want to invest that money into something that might do you better in the long term. Pore strips though cheaper are fairly temporary solutions a lot of the time and frankly can be pretty rough on your skin making things worse. It’s all about research and personal preference
