So many badasses together on one track. I think its gonna boil down to luck. Team USA is strong enough to win it with good starts and no crashes, but they could also wind up not getting on the box if they get poor starts or have crashes. Same for the other teams. Its gonna be all about the starts and keeping it on two wheels. Gonna be fun to see them go at it
@EarthSurferUSA3 ай бұрын
Optimistically, I predict Webb will ride the wheels off that 250 and be a threat for top 250. He has the grit for sure. AP loves the USA, and even though he faltered for the silly SMX rounds, a American spirit may take over. It worked for Magoo in 82. Eli, old, ready to retire, and still blazing fast (when he feeeeeeels good). I think he is pumped too for this race, and he just may feel good for another day of racing. If they go on the track like that,--the competition better not make any/many mistakes. We will see. Doug in Michigan

Jett was super fast in Ernee last year. Had a last to 6th performance, against most of the best riders in the world reduced the gap to the leaders Prado and Febvre by some like 10-20 seconds while coming through the field, it was an insane ride. Then round 2 Prado was right there in 4th or 5th off the start just a couple bike lengths behind Jett, and he rode away from everyone like it was easy. Shoutout to Roczen for his 2nd ride to he was doing well to keep Jett like 10 seconds ahead. Though he maybe just been doing his thing and just chillin at that point. Im actually really excited to see how USA does, i like all those riders. Clearly not the optimal team but im hyped for them to hopefully put in a great performance

The tracks are so fast and smooth today because of the faster 4-stroke. Take these guys to the old bumpy Unadilla back in the grass days, and then we will see who has the most talent. I never thought the passing would be as lax as NASCAR, but here it is. But it is backward. We spend half the race being sorted out and passing stops pretty much when they get 2 seconds or more between them. Many times, the last 5-8 laps have no passing at all in the top 10. But in NASCAR, the go in circles for most of the race and some move up and down. But that racing starts in the last 10 laps. Still---for most of the races today, we are watching a parade,---with weegee screaming like an impressed child.

Definitely the weak link. The other teams above have a more solid all around roster. Sorry Oliver. Yeah I'm so excited for this MXON because of the battles between legends. Eli Tomac is the 2nd best MX/SMX and SX rider ever. Just because he is all business and doesn't engage in Steve Mathis and Lewis Phillips bullshit they try to ignore how great he is. It irritates the hell out of me. Tomac is by far the fans favorite. He is very humble, private and not a loud mouth like some. No excuses - If he lines up and races in his mind you can't make excuses.I am so tired of riders saying there set up was wrong, There pinky toe hurts, etc. This being his last year I guarantee he will be in every fight along the wau through SX, MXand SMX and MXoN next year!!
@EarthSurferUSA3 ай бұрын
No he is not, (2nd best ever). He has won a lot---over the last like 20 years, but he has lost a lot. The guys on top,--raced half as long (2-stroke days). When it comes to the will to win, (and not rely of feelings), there are plenty of guys with way more grit who would have won as much or more for 20 years. If RJ, Bailey, O'Mara, Stanton were going (before RC and James, Villapoto),---we know who would win. Eli is a super talent, maybe the best in the world at some times. But his mind is too "progressive" to put his feelings aside, and race like he knows how to do all the time. Chase is much the same way, especially with bike set up, and Jett in front of him. :)
