I have a question about question #3. You state that the architect does not give pricing for the CD phase bc at that point it's going out to bid and the GC will price it. This seams to conflict with B101 3.4.4 where it states the architect shall update the estimate for the cost of work. Can you clarify this? Thanks

+Daniel Shaffer I think he is wrong. During the CD phase the measurement used is based on unit rates for cons. competes, assembles an systems. This estimate is what the pre-bid cost check and cost breakdowns are based on.

I though assembly method is for SD ? However, It may be the best answer for this question. This is what I read from ARE5 review manual - Methods of budgeting 10-21.
