Wise and informative. I’m comfortable with “To be kind is often more important than to be right.” Mindful listening and curiosity go hand and hand. Holiday cheer to you and yours..

"Why do I feel the need to be so certain?" I will remember that question, thanks.

It's a great question and one that doesn't have an easy answer.

This video really hits home. It’s so easy to cling to certainty and think we’re always right, especially when it feels good to feel superior. But as the video points out, it’s often our doubts and insecurities that drive that defensiveness, especially on hot-button topics like religion, politics, or parenting. Being curious instead of defensive is such a powerful tool. Asking ourselves why we feel the need to be so certain, or what we’re avoiding by defending our beliefs, opens the door to growth. And the same goes for how we approach others-genuinely trying to understand where they’re coming from, not just to prove ourselves right, but to truly connect. It’s a humbling reminder that everyone carries their own sense of certainty and that, at the end of the day, we all want to feel heard and understood. This is how we manage our egos and build more meaningful, empathetic connections. Thanks for sharing this valuable perspective! Happy holidays 🎄✨🎉

The biggest mistake in this whole article is "searching for appreciation from outside". Please understand, "nobody gives a shit about who we are or what we think".

If you have to even ask the question, then you know in your heart climbers are the ones who are actually better than everyone else. JK. Runners, fast and slow, short and long distance, are badass. Many happy miles to all!

People that aren’t runners really don’t care at all about your run.. the sense of superiority is artificial. The only time it’s actually true is on race day. Just thought that it’s important to point out since the daily early morning runs are for you. It’s personal edification that allows you to become a better person in general
@JustAnotherRunner2 күн бұрын
@@BrandonE-ri4km I agree and would expand that to say that people generally don’t care what you do ever. Superiority is always artificial
