I have just fitted the 12mm f2 to my FUJI XT2. It is really excellent and already one of my favourite lenses. Probably the best value lens I have ever bought.

I have the Samyang 14mm and I love it, but I tend to use it mostly with analogue cameras. The look it gives with something like FP4 plus is gorgeous, and even though I use filters at every opportunity I can't remember any occasion I wished I could have got them on this lens.

Hi Ben, i am a newbie in videography on APSC camera. (i dont want to and dont think to move to full-frame at least for 5/6 years). I want to invest to samyang lenses since they are worth the price and the quality for beginner like me. Recently, i just bought 16mm t2.2 last month and feel that this lens is really sharp and well-built. Im thinking to invest more to another focal lenght such as 35, 50 and 85mm. Which focal length i should / shouldnt buy to build up my video gear. Now i have Samyang16mm, kit lens 18-55mm and Canon 50mm STM in my bag.

Hi ben, i shoot using canon t3i. i have Samyang 16mm t2.2 cine lens. i really impress with its sharpness at the widest t-stop. Anyway i am going to buy Samyang 35mm t1.5. Compare to the 16mm do you know how sharp the 35mm is? and for apsc sensor, which Samyang you suggest?
@daoquang9007 жыл бұрын
the 12mm, or some other lenses, are for Mirrorless Aps-c cameras, not just Aps-C though!
@bolaji96267 жыл бұрын
do you think olympus prime lenses like the 25mm f1.8, 45mm f1.8 and the 75mm are better than samyang/rokinon lenses
@Icelandscapes6 жыл бұрын
I have Fuji Xpros and recently invested in a 16 mm Rokinon, which is about 24 mm on APS-C. It is a good and sharp lens and has a f:2,0 which is great for a lens of this type. But is very big and bulky so I see now that I should have gotten the 14mm instead.

I got the Samyang 10mm 2.8, second hand for the aps-c sensor for peanuts practically. Really sweet lense but also hate the built in hood. Though the curvature of the glass will not really allow a filter. It almost looks like a fisheye.

I've got the 12mm f2 for my Oly Em5 Mkii and it's sharp as tack any softness on the edges for cropped frame sensor's are cropped out for 4/3d cameras....great lens
@overnightdelivery7 жыл бұрын
Same here. The Rokinon 12mm f2 is heavier than a typical m4/3 lens because it's actually APS-C glass. That is actually a good thing because it gets rid of the soft blurry corners on a m43 size sensor without having to crop anything. Worth the extra weight to me for sharp images without soft corners. There is still some vignetting but easily removed in post with a couple of mouse clicks.

i'm not sure, but i think Samyang and Walimex lenses are nearly the same. I bought a Walimex 35mm 1.4 and its Amazing. for round about 350€ the best Lens i've ever seen.

Hey Benjamin, I am an amature photographer and planning to start astrophotography. I have a Canon 6d mark ii as my body. I wanted to purchase a lens but got confused between 24mm f/1.4 and 14mm f/2.8 Samyang lenses. Can you make a video which will compare the two. Thanks in advance.

@adamec1457 жыл бұрын
Mr.Pinguin President I would go for the canon 85mm 1.8, it cost a little more but you will get a lot better lens. Anyway, if your are not sure about photography yet, 50mm is the best first prime lens, since it's very cheap, sharp and f is nice.
