Always put tyres on finishing at the valve, the valve will stop the tyre from sitting down into the well at the center of the rim,👍

@williamforbes71564 ай бұрын
i've had some troubles with tubeless, and it never gets any easier my forearms are burning just as i write this, getting the bead to the center of the tire and "rolling" the slack really eeks out as much as possible for that last little push over the carbon lip. centering the conti logo over the valve makes for some ascetics and unity between wheels. as well as after you seat the wheel rotate the valve so you don't lose sealant not to fussed about losing air but if air comes from the bottom it can blow mess out when it loses big pressure it goes you put core back in and put up like normal job done. orange is another easy sealant but silca lives up to the hype it's just a pricey mess if not inside the tire.
@TheBassallyear1007 ай бұрын
good stuff. the only suggestion i would make is not using Stan's for the road. it just doesn't work as well under higher road pressures. I have best luck with Silca sealant but it makes a sticky mess. the compromise is orange seal sealant.
@joystation17 ай бұрын
I'm perfectly happy with Stans Race sealant in my tubeless tyres. Going tubeless Jourdain won't have to worry about high pressures, he'll only need about 60 psi with a 28c tyre

Best is to use TPU tubes on the road or light gravel and forget about tubeless. Results in a significantly lighter overall set up and there is no meaningful reason to ride tubeless on the road. Makes sense for MTB where you are regularly running low PSIs and taking big hits. Makes no sense the road. 😀

At 23 mm internal those Scopes come in 2mm narrower than ENVE AR. And they’re a good chunk heavier as well. Where does the weight go? Reinforcement or glue?

How’s the freehub body? I have seen of these pairs as demo sets. The freehub body isn’t loose by any stretch of the imagination , but they tend to come off a little bit too easily. How’s your pair?

Imagine it’s been said before but I always put one side of the tyre on without the value that makes getting that side on easier. Then put the value in. Make sure the tyre is sat in the centre recess of the wheel, then seat the other side of the tyre starting away from the value and working towards it.

Ultra wide at 23mm? That doesn't sound right. All road wheelset at over 1700gr sounds like a lot when the price is that high. Not for me.

Is it possible to ride this wheelset with a clincher tyre and a latex tube in it? Dont want to ride tubeless
@collinbel13635 ай бұрын
Yes, I did and it works
@ivanboesky152011 күн бұрын
Yes. Scope wheels are all tubeless ready with a hooked style rim, which means they can be run tubeless or with tubes. Have no idea why anyone would want to run tubeless on the road. Versus TPU tubes, tubeless results in a significantly heavier set up overall, it’s messy, it requires regular refilling of more sealant in the tire and it is simply is not needed in 99+% of road bike and light gravel applications. On the road and even mild gravel go with TPU tubes. They are durable, super light about 45-40 grams per tube and on a wheel like Scope with no spoke holes you don’t need any rim tape with a TPU set up, which you still need if you run them tubeless. 😀

@@ivanboesky1520 Hey, thanks for your answer. I think the same way you do about the tubless issue in the road sector. I'm thinking about buying the Scope LRS next year because of their internal Width and good Price performance.

You do not have to hurry while installing the valve core - the tires stay seated anyhow ... and by the way - there are valve caps that have an built in valve core tool 😉🤓

@ivanboesky152011 күн бұрын
The only SCOPE wheels that are really worth buying are the more expensive carbon spoke wheels. They are around 950-1,050 grams, very light and durable. The regular SCOPE wheels which this vid shows are extremely overpriced. $1,600 should be getting you an aero wheelset that weighs no more than 1500 grams tops.

please do not use this trueing stand to examine the wheels runout, as itself is extremely wonky. you can skew it by just pushing on the rim. to get appropiate readings, spin the wheel and then HANDS OFF
