When i first started playing golf 20 years ago i bought a Scotty off Ebay for £275! Turned out to be fake.. i was gutted! I did get my money back but probably only because i knew the right people at the time

Tested a fake sc putter before...all i can say is they are inconsistent and forget about the feels it is absent...weight are off and if you want to improve your putting, buy a second hand one, even a 10 year old putter is better...thats base of my experience

Maybe the question should be why are the mayor companies ripping of the punters there profit margin are enormous take balls for instance the mark up is huge same with clothing if reviewers stated calling out the mayor companies maybe they would reduce their profits and pass it on to the customer than there would be no market for fakes they cause the problem with excess pricing system and nobody calls them out

If people buy them they will keep making them. Also let’s be honest no putter should cost what the original ones do ! It’s all of a few bucks of material at the end of the day . A putter is a putter. Look at woods he’s used his old banged up beat up chipped , scratched, marked , paint all rubbed of the 3 dots and it still works .

@@garymartingolflook I played professionally for years. I started making my own putters. Why do you think they all started putting face mills on the putter because they could say it’s milled in the states. Why do most circle t’s not have a deep mill. Every circle t I have doesn’t have a deep face mill. You can give me tool steel and I can make it feel like a Scotty with a face mill. Why all my putters I hand make don’t have anything on them. I don’t even put a logo on them. I’m not going to take away from a good metal. So the fake vs real that @pud56 is talking about who cares. People buy cars and modify them and sell them for more. Good luck going against a Chinese company too in court. Heck when I played if you told me it was a knock off I wouldn’t care one bit if I made 1 or 2 more putts around. It’s a tool next time I ask for a screw driver I will be sure to say hand me that snap on flat head and make sure it has no scuffs on it lol. A putter is a tool who cares if it is real or fake if you make putts that’s what matters. Every one is so materialistic now it’s crazy. Why the driver heads sound so different just put some hot melt in it. It’s what gets the ball in the hole the least amount fake or real who cares. And I love that you do this because companies rip people off just because of a name and they know it. It’s sad.
