I've been playing Silent Hill 2 for 20 years... it looks really good. My only complain is the price. But the game itself... looks and feels awesome. Fun fact: When SH2 came out people were hating on it too. Fans of the first one HAAAATED SH2. Now people love it. SH fanbase is a very complicated place lol.

@@derekb4977 The only time a remake is pointless is when you have something like The Last of Us being remade, despite it actually being limited to a graphical overhaul. When it comes to remakes like what Capcom did with the old Resident Evil games or with Dead Space or Final Fantasy 7 being given a remake, that's when it makes the most sense.

I still feel like Konami has seen the success of capcom with resident evil remakes so they jumped in the game aswell. If it wasn’t for capcom I feel like Konami wouldn’t have made more silent hill games but I could be wrong.

I expected it to be shit seeing what Konami has done in the past with it... And with the content in the game I was afraid they'd "Modernize" or "Woke" it up and ruin the story... But after the last 2 trailers, I am feeling a lot better about it. I'm excited. Silent Hill 2 fans are the most ravenous. Because SH2 is a literal masterpiece and we don't want anyone fucking it up. That being said, I think most of us are feeling much better about it now. Bloober looks like they may have pulled it off.

@@derekb4977 It’s SLIGHTLY woke. Not enough where I’m mad about it. Because most games these days are maddeningly woke. They need that DEI quota from Vanguard. Censorship of any kind is stupid but Bloober could have pulled a sweet baby Inc and race/gender swapped a character and made them gay. But they didn’t. I think over the shoulder cam is 100% the way to go with a remake. We may appreciate fixed cam but millenials and genZ will not. And in the end a publisher publishes to make money. If they had changed the story I’d agree with you that they took away its sacred lore. But it doesn’t look like they did. I’m not against you here, I mostly agree with you. But I think you should really take a minute to check yourself and see if you’re just riding a hate bandwagon for nitpicking reasons. Cheers mate.

@@Nuverotic I'm not hating it for that reason I detest remakes completely, if I made a game or a movie and some company came in and said we will do his work in our new way, I'd use and stop it happening, like back to the future director said over his dead body he wouldn't let it happen, konami just copied capcom which I disagree with them doing that to the original trilogy nothing is sacred anymore it's tragic and I'm actually sad to see team silent legacy get tarnished by this remake obsession. I never counted it out, I was just hopeful that some clown in Bloober team wasn't like ''Here's my idea! lets make this game WOKE!'' My only issue was Angela's face. Aside from that, everything is looking ON POINT! AND on top of that, all of the classic endings from the original SH2 are confirmed in this remake. Already have it on PS5 pre-ordered, will be getting it on PC as well. Running SH2 Remake at 4k 120FPS maxed out settings. Expect an Angela's face FIX mod. Can't wait!

I don't really need to replay something from 20 years ago for a full price ranged $60 - $80 at the store or online Steam, if they've already, Revamp/Remake/& Remaster few years later into the future. These times are for the new generations who wants to get into videogames old or new. I lost my gaming passion since then and now seeking other fun hobbies to do than waste hours sitting in 1 go from start to finishing a game in 24 - 60 hours. JRPG are the longest and need a lot of time to finished. Watching speedruns of them, are insanes!

Am I happy now? No I'm not, I want MORE! 😝 Some people could create the remake exactly how they want and they'd still complain. I personally think it looks awesome and incredibly faithful to the original. As others have said, we're never going to have the same experience we did while playing the original for the first time but who cares? We have the original for that experience. This is a completely different experience and I'm excited for it.

I stayed quiet while all the controversy/fiasco was happening I was impressed from the start and watched everything play out, the gameplay seems to get better and the attention to detail got improved over time, Bloober has never done a remake/reimagining and I think there doing a rather good job, I still think a better idea would be to release a HD trilogy or something for the current consoles and released along side of the newer one, then no one would have nothing to complain about, completely agree with what your talking about, it's just people are flat out had enough of this 'agenda' driven nonsense, but I'm going to give them an olive branch and give them a chance, I'd love to see them give the first game the same treatment, I don't expect anyone to agree with me, these are only my own thoughts but I'm loving to opportunity to explore silent hill with that gorgeous game engine there using, thankyou for covering this appreciate your work take care till the next vid

It’s just gross sometimes. They acted like this was gonna be a total disgrace and one of the worst games of all time.

Exactly. I was there when SH2 launched. Now is easy to say its a cult classic. When it launched the conversation was: "Where is Harry? Where is Cheryl? Where is the cult related stuff? I dont care about this unknown guy and his dead wife. SH2 sucks!!! The original is the only one that exists for me....".
