the four Ps are okay, but the missing P is a person with PRINCIPLES. having a strong sense of honour, standing up for what's right even when it's tough (especially when it's tough), doing what's right (again, even when it's tough), being able to a firm guide, being a good father, a good role model, etc. and those values must be grounded in something that the guy has thought seriously about and would put into practice even if they were the last man on earth, and not just adopted because they want people to like them. similar standards actually apply to high value women.. but Provision and Protection takes more of the form of caregiving and being able to soothe, support and bring encouragement to the man/her children and be that bedrock of the family.

Strongly agree! Just like passion, someone who has strong/firm beliefs earns major plus points. Big caveat though: their principles need to align with yours (or somewhere in the ballpark of what you can agree with) or else it turns into a major red flag.

Not much opinions about the concept of high value men/women. But more opinions on being clear of their value proposition. Since everyone values different things, quite hard to paint a fixed set of traits as high value with a broad brush. I think both men and women should 1st work on themselves, developing awareness of their strengths/weakness, as well as what they bring to the table for their partner. Once that is done, understand what they value about others and want from a partner, as well as their own unique value proposition. Then it's all about finding the right partner who is willing to enter a relationship of value exchange with what you have. I think many people don't realize that all relationships are transactional in nature and hence don't approach relationships from a transactional POV. Transactional doesn't always mean materialistic or physical traits but can also refer to emotional/mental needs.

The panel of both sides could use more diverse profiles when discussing this kinda topics. Perhaps higher income earners. Or people who are in longer marriages. Or people who have kids. Or people who gone through divorces. Feel like there is not much diversity in opinions for this discussion.

Regarding the "raise your hand" if you're a HVM at the beginning - you wouldn't raise your hand if you're a HVM because you'd already have the confidence that you are. It's similar with a wealthy person not saying that they are wealthy or an educated person not wearing it on their sleeve. If you're looking for HVM or HVW, look at the parents, and that should give you some idea as to how their kids will turn out as the parents have a lot of influence in terms of values.
@movdqa
@movdqa Жыл бұрын
Potential (4:00 in) is one that women look for, particularly if you're both in college. One of the reasons why parents send kids to college is the assumption is that the pool of people that their kids are around will be both educated, intelligent, and wealthy enough to afford it so that their odds of finding someone in a similar or higher class is good. You can also see people at college where they aren't restraining inhibitions as much as in real life so you can see them under stress and relaxing. Watching other people drive is a way to see other people where it's a lot harder to control your emotions.

On appearances: this is a really big deal. I have a friend and he's a millionaire, worked in engineering, teaches and constructs art, is trim and fit and former open and college tennis player, and he can fix anything in houses, boats and cars. But he's short - and I'm rather amazed that that's the biggest turnoff to women. But I suppose that appearance is a big issue for men as well.

So at the end of the day, people say whatever they want, high value man means must have money as a provider. You can be the smartest kindest guy but no money no talk. So all the geniuses like Vincent van Gogh, Nikola Tesla, Socrates whose knowledge, visionary strength changed the course of mankind are considered low value men because they died penniless. Is that what you are saying?

@@kingseiryu929 i think with the context of the question under this video, “high value man” specifically evaluates the man based on his value as a partner husband for his other half. so to this, i dont think value provided to society =/= value provided to your wife. in fact it can sometimes be opposite because putting your energy and resources to one area can result in direct compromise of the other. and with that, i believe women have every right to discern for themselves what they need in a man for a long-term life partnership, and i think it’s completely fair for women to think that sure, you may be an asset to society but you can’t put food on the table. at the end of the day no one is obligated to act in the best interest of the entire society, most of us only act in the best interest of ourselves.

I'm not trying to blow our own horn. But Singaporean men are pretty amazing. You observe that increasingly, there are more men who will wear the apron in the house and are even better at taking care of the kids than the ladies. More men are willing to take the path less taken and work in the conventionally female dominated industry, and even excel in what they do. Many men also value their own passion and even venture into areas e.g. social entrepreneurship, social services that contribute back to the society even if it doesn't pay that well. Alot of the younger sg men search for meaning in what they do or to do what is meaningful to them. Singaporean men are usually confident, well-mannered and family oriented. That's our strength. And we ought to be aware of our 'value'. Lastly, I get really triggered by the term 'alpha'. Why is it mentioned multiple times in the session? Are the alpha traits even considered desirable by all men in the first place? If you look at aspiring role models around us, they all have different personality, management and relationship style. They are definitely not all alpha.

why would any man want to define his worth based solely on what a woman or society wants? ultimately his "value" must resonate with himself. dont let women or society define your value because remember that all these people are imperfect themselves with imperfect judgment.

10:40 depends... I could just be THAT busy. I usually am. That's not necessarily "manipulation". Unless your INTENTION is to make it SEEM that way because that makes her more horny/more attracted to you or something because you think she might, or she might, actually then view you as more "high-value". Sometimes you just ARE high-value. There's no need to pretend LOL. Especially if you're already IN a committed relationship. But yeah I understand if you're talking about during dating. But honestly, honesty works best. Life gets a lot simpler that way, even when dating.

I think Singaporean males are mostly not high value in my opinion due to economic and social reasons since these 2 plays a lot in what determines high value. The being emotional and be-open about feelings part making us high value is nonsense.
@movdqa

I'd disagree from an international perspective. Singaporeans are typically well-educated, have good fitness levels, and are wealthier than people in a lot of other countries. You just don't see it because your peer group is already so high.
@NathanNoon
@NathanNoon Жыл бұрын
@@movdqa From a local perspective, people do have an education here but high value only works if the education helps us upward. Fitness levels sure but wealthy is not something lots of Singaporeans identify with from my understanding. Singapore has the appearance of a wealthy country but that doesn't represent the financial status of many living here. Also High-Value is subjective by country so i guess the video could focus more from a Singaporean perspective?

A high value man nowadays should be one that 1 ) know how to take care of their appearance and carry them themselves well. Honestly, a lot of Asian guys when they reach their 40s, they have ah pek style & habits 2) not expecting guys to be rich but at least make some $$ contribution for family. Women don't expect males to pay 100%: but at least 70%. Women do so much more for family in action (housework, take cares of kids, etc). if the guy can't even contribute 70%, where does the balance of rs contribute sits in. (This excludes those men who really help out with housework & kids) 3):being the soulmate, the best friend of each other. If the women cannot even rely on their men for support. Why do we need you for when we can just rely our girlfriends & family. By experience of someone who almost half century old

Men providing for a woman is something that exist even before monogamy happens. Millions of years before we used to live in an uncivilised world where there is danger everywhere. Men, being biologically larger and stronger are seen as a protector to us to make us feel safe and at peace/ease. Now we live in Singapore, there’s cctv everywhere and we are not necessarily in danger all the time. Instead, we are trapped within a high stress environment where fiscal paper is seen as one of the commodities to get rid of our stress. Next, u are curious what does the woman bring to the table then? If you can’t figure out that answer then simple, don’t pursue a woman that wants a man with a provider mindset :) There’s many way to live a happy life. Just because RI is perceived as a good school doesn’t mean one will fail if we are not from RI. Even VB also say RI is a lousy school. Doesn’t mean u don’t fit into the checkboxes of what’s makes a HVM means u are automatically a LVM. Don’t get triggered by labels and don’t hate the players.

You want any high value anyone. Just date a sim character. Ppl need to understand. There are trade offs for alot of things. There is only 24 hours and limited energy. For example. If u want a hard working guy. he will be working alot then he will not spend time with you. Ppl only fantasied the end goal but never know or bother about the journey. He has alot of money.. ok how did he get it? its not so simple. U want a person that rich that doesnt work for example must be royalty which you will never have a chance at all. People need to put 100% to each other. Not 50% 50% and not just sitting along the ride. No way to cover every details. then you will lose the human factor in the relationship. Also the other partner will f up the relationship if they dont treasure it. So many ppl regret breaking away from the perfect partner because they felt selfish and not see the bigger picture. Also what throws the monkey wrench into this topic is the mood and experience. Ppl change their mind and also change priorities. Topic like this is pointless to hunt for the perfect person without putting in the work.

17:52 I do a agree that women too should have the 4 Ps but in a different light 1) protect ( as a women we should protect the peace ) call this old fashioned and shit but I feel as women who more emotional In Touch I think we are more sensitive to what is gg on even when the man is not in the mood to talk so we be their peace and we protect that we give them the safe space to be vulnerable 2) P provision, growing up both my parents work and both shared chores and I would assume most families are like that too so I think in this day and age providing comes both in effort and in money 3) passion I think passion in anyone is a joy and an attractive quality to have without passion is like chicken without seasoning 4) Preservance I believe in the world we grew up especially us Asians we all had that suck it up mentality so this almost comes second nature to us So I would say the 4 P does apply to women too
