Are small copper transformers worth scrapping?

Hello dear viewers :)
In this copper scrapping video, we will be scrapping some very small copper transformers to see if they are worth taking apart and getting the copper out of them. It sometimes is quite hard to tell wether or not it is worth it to get the copper out of them or to just sell them as copper transformers, and so that's what we will find out today. Regardless of the amount of copper we end up getting, we will certainly learn something new.

I put all the non metal ones in the freezer overnight, put them all in a bag and smash them all up at once.

Hm, I doubt that makes a difference, ferrite is really brittle stuff anyways, but sure, why not :)

its interesting the way things work in different countries, in Australia we get a dollar a kilogram for transformers so with the little ones it just isn't viable to scrap them, you will make more money selling them complete but at the same time 27% is a very good copper yield from any transformer, as you say thats comparable with microwaves (maybe even a bit better)

Certainly, I get about 40 cents a kg, so maybe 0.65 AUD, at that rate it's almost always worth it to scrap them, well, not those tiny ones, but the bigger ones. Thanks for watching mate 👍👍👍😃

In France, today you'll have 0,40€ per kg. But considering the time needed it won't be my main copper interest, I'll rather sell them as they are
