Less than 1% chance of getting skin cancer. 75% increase they purport is still an increase below 1% overall. Don’t overdo it, and you’ll be fine. It’s hyperbole. We northerners need a supplement in winter. Vitamin D deficiency has drawbacks too. just like anything else in life, moderation is key.

That's my feeling on it too. A 4-6 minute sunbed a couple of times a month is not going to do too much damage

Ahh okay apply chemicals to our skin instead? That’s safer? Cool I’ll go get a box of these chemicals

Ill keep the oxybezones out of my body thanks! :)

These people that still push this stuff are so sad... Yes, slather your skin with chemicals that block the sun. The same sun that every civilization throughout history has considered the source of life. Lol

Use japanese or Korean sunscreen. Or Australian sunscreen. It's more safer

Chemicals are not necessarily bad. Water is basically a chemical, as well. And everything’s better than exposing our skin tk the sun. We don’t see the damage done immediately, but we will see it later in life, or worse, get skin cancer.

After wearing sunscreen for 1 year I can see a major difference. People are actually telling me I look younger and my skin is clear . This is a sign to wear your sunscreen everyday
@haziqariffin19892 жыл бұрын
Yup. My friends love tanning but I didn't advice them to wear sunscreen everyday. I want to look younger then them.

Tanning lotions and all those chemicals cause cancer as well

There is a direct correlation between the increase in sunscreen use and increase in rates of skin cancer.

What if I tan like once a week just to not be pale white?
@rocioi52943 жыл бұрын
Wear a light spf and don't tan more than once or twice a week no longer than 5 minutes or so. Don't take my word for it but you should be fine.
@spark300c3 жыл бұрын
do not tan. it really hard to figure correct level of light that you skin can take all day long. type one skin is form subarctic latitude and should never tan. their skin only meant handle sun light above 50 degrees north. Just think about it people do not go to Ireland to get a tan.

Moderation is key I rarely use tanning beds. Little sun seems healthy with zinc oxide based sunblocks and moderation.

use melanotan 2 and tan once or twice a month

Tanning ain’t bad, having a bit of Sunkiss is good for you. Our ancestors where exposed to sun half the year and got pale the other half because as a white person we lived in northern areas of the world where it snows or is cloudy. Why would the body be able to tan? It’s a adaptive function of our body and is there for a reason

it's incredible how in the last 10 years everyone has become deadly afraid of the sun, despite people around the world living in climates where the sun shines down on them all day long and they're just fine
@langleywallingford260 Жыл бұрын
I think it really depends on your skin type, which is closely tied to your race, ethnicity, and nationality.

If tanning beds are so bad why are they approved by the Federal Drug Administration in the United States? If it's causing cancer how can it remain legal? Does it fall into the same category as tobacco and alcohol?
