I would opt for accuracy, even if means removing a little flash. However… if it means that all those tiny parts have flash as well, then I’d rather have no flash. Especially if you didn’t get those 3D printed parts. Thanks for this video by the way, showing that those parts do add something to the model. It’s up to the modeler if they want to invest in this or not 🙂

No, its really only the thin tail and the gun barrels that have some flash on it. Thanks for the feedback!

For comparing quality of parts, especially 3d printed ones please consider priming them first. All resin prints are semi transparent (technology limitation) and that hides some smaller details and print imperfections.

Hi Rusty, Just wondering if you know about these 1/48 Swiss P-51 decals. V4896: Swiss “Neutrality” marked P-51B Mustang Swiss “Neutrality” marked P-51B Mustang P-51B-10-NA serial 42-106438 force landed at Ems-Plarenga on the 19 July 1944. The full Swiss red and white neutrality scheme was eventually applied as per this decal sheet. Overall 42-106438 was natural metal, except for the wings which were almost cer... Greetings, hope everyone had a Happy New Year.......now that's out of the way.......I think Flash is easier to get rid of than excessively thick panels, all that sanding nightmare etc. Next, definitely offer 3D printed parts for sale, I for one can't afford a 3D resin printer and never will be able to justify the cost, getting a Third Party to print it for me (if such firms exist) will probably be prohibitively costly. There, now that's out of the way......Have a nice one everybody.

They should concentrate of availability and price point. Also we need the first version of the ki-43.
@arghons.hobby.workshop6 сағат бұрын
And the manufacturer determines where its models are sold? Blame the local importers.
@williamroberts18194 сағат бұрын
@arghons.hobby.workshop No. Look at their Fokker ev. They could easily produce a kit we need or simply make more of the "basic" version They are responsible for the details and extras and production and everything. Step one, make models we need Step two, realize the more they pack in the box the more it costs. Step three convince modelers that their kits are worth getting over the ten dollar Hasegawa kit. These are the things killing modeling. There's no excuse for importers now that we have eBay.

They do struggle with their production but obviously made changes to improve it

I don't like the look of that enormous spruegate in front of this thin and flashy tail, you will have to handle it like a rotten egg when separating sprue and tail. It looks like a step back in quality from the previous 1/72 Arma kits, like the P-51 which is one of my favorite kits. I have no 3D printer, so i would be smart move by Arma Hobby to print and sell it as a additional part, or make a version of the kit with it included. Thanks Chris for making this video👍
@RustyscaleShow20 сағат бұрын
You are right, i was thinking the same. It took carefull work to separate it from the sprue, but it worked after all. Thanks for the feedback!
@supercededman7 сағат бұрын
I'm in full agreement regarding that enormous gate. Just wow.
@TheSwedeMcCoy21 сағат бұрын
Accuracy of course! I'm a modeller and not an assembler!
@supercededman7 сағат бұрын
Regarding feedback on the kit's vertical stabiliser, the gate from sprue to the front of the stabiliser is very large, and would need VERY careful removal. I'm of the opinion that a thicker, less accurate stabiliser is the way to go. This kit is a step back in quality from all their other kits. I have it, yet to build it, but from looking closely at my own kit and the other Arma kits in my collection it's a real disappointment.
@RustyscaleShow3 сағат бұрын
Youre right, this connecting part is delicate to clean and the thin stabiliser doesnt help neither. But i managed it somehow. Its my first Arma Hobby kit so i have yet to build another one to compare them
