Coach, I asked on tonight's "live" podcast and my comment was ignored. So once again I am asking why you think Beck has more to offer than Kapanen? As you know, I have attended Kapanen's games in Finland and at the IIHF. What makes you think Beck is better? Have you attended any of Kap's games?

Yes, I’ve watched both players closely this season. At the moment, Beck has more upside compared to Kapanen. Beck is a more natural center, especially in the North American game, while Kapanen thrives in front of the net. Beck boasts a stronger 200-foot game and excels in faceoffs and wrist shots. On the other hand, Kapanen is the better skater, has a more effective one-timer, and is skilled at tipping the puck. It’s not necessarily about one being better than the other-it’s about which player fits better into the Canadiens’ system, something that’s still to be determined. Both have the potential to be solid bottom-six forwards in the NHL. Hage, however, is more skilled and talented than both. That said, Beck also brings more physicality to his game, which is worth noting. Apologies if I missed any part of the original question!

@@HockeyNationLiveShow Great reply Coach and thanks. I think either Kapanen or Beck could be used in a package deal to obtain a solid 2nd pairing right "D" to replace Savard. With Kirby improving game by game and Evans likely to be re-signed one will likely be expendable. As for Hage, I have read up on what many scouts have said about him and projections are he is at least a 2C. His 1st year with Chicago Steel he missed most of the season due to injury and as documented, last year he went through the tragedy of losing his father. Who knows how high he would have gone in the draft? Habs may have won the lottery with him. Be well, I won't be tuning in to your podcast tonight as going to bed so often at 4am is exhausting 😃
