I got the 50xl but do you think it could do a Green Day tone?

What I'd like to know is if it is "worth it" to swap the infamously "crappy" stock speaker with something like the immensely popular Eminence Cannabis Rex speaker...

@@prouncecat7119 I'd try the "British" model that's based on the Marshall, to replicate BJ's infamous "Pete" and "Meat" amps...

I bought this talented man's Champion 20 course for the measly $15 and it shows you how to get a great Variety of perfectly usable and tailored popular tones and...WITHOUT even ANY Pedals attached! It was worth it and especially if you really do not want to bother with any pedalboards or multi-effect units or menu scrolling. It is a really great PRACTICE Amp after all, no? It's not a complex "studio rig".

Thank you for your kind words. I am glad that you enjoyed the Fender Champion 20 Tone Course!

@@5MinuteMusic My pleasure. i already have a similar Vibro Champ XD and I did not think I could become so excitedly engrossed with $130 Fender SS Amp but it sounds so Fabulous and...WITHOUT TUBES! Plus it has Good onboard effects and does take pedals very well so those things are definitely something to get giddy over.

I have a fender champion 20 and a rumble lt25. I love them both. The champion is better for playing with the knobs and tweaking to find a nice fun sound and trying to match sounds on songs. The rumble lt25 (which is the bass version of a Mustang lt25) is good fun for having presets and more weird sounds but harder to change and set up through the little display. It also has a built in tuner.

Great video, thanks. Just wondering, how well does this amp take multi fx pedals. I have a Boss GX-100. Oh and which Ibanez is that. Seems pretty great.
@kelalamusic92583 жыл бұрын
Great video. I appreciate it when someone demos each effect separately like what you did. Well done. My interest is tremolo, chorus and reverb. Can you combine them? In other words, can I combine tremolo with reverb for example? Much mahalo.
@valentinch03 жыл бұрын
You can only use one effect at a time, albeit with two exceptions. The very first FX setting (Reverb section, red light) combines Chorus and Reverb. Another combination is Delay + Reverb (Delay section, amber light). You can tweak those with the FX knob as well as tap tempo. As for other combinations - these are impossible without external pedals.

I bought this amp recently and I'm watching your videos! Can we use Vibrato+Delay or Vibrato+Reverb simultaneously?

Unfortunately, vibrato can only be used by itself. Thank you for watching and commenting!

Don't forget that you can also tap tempo in Flanger mode. Tap in a faster tempo for a more psychedelic sound. That's got to be one of my favorite modes on this amp. Excellent in-deep walkthrough, as always!

Is it loud enough for band practice? Is it tube?
@5MinuteMusic2 жыл бұрын
It gets pretty loud, but I guess it depends on how many instruments you are playing with and how loud they are. Also, it is not tube. Thank you for watching and commenting!

Regarding delay: how close to a 30ms doubling do you think could be dialed-in? Thx

The delay will go as fast as you can tap it, so I am not sure how fast it can really go. Thank you for watching and commenting!

Nice demo of the effects. Much appreciated. I already have a Yamaha THR10 which has a lot of great built-in effects, but doesn't have a lot of bass because of the small speakers. Since this amp has a 12" speaker, can it give you some nice bass sound?
@5MinuteMusic2 жыл бұрын
The bass is ok, but can get "woofey" when palm muffling some of the lowest notes. Thank you for watching and commenting!

Hey Derek, I know I'm a bit late here, but was wondering if the Champion 40 takes pedals well? I have a Hot Rod Deluxe iv, but its crazy loud in my home studio and was thinking about getting a 40, but not sure if its a decent pedal platform...

Waiting on a delivery next week. The amp sounds a bit good. 169 quid. A new set of valves/ tubes for a Mesa Boogie 6L6GC costs 270. You're a salesman, I get that, but you've sold it well. Twang!

So how does it sound? Does it do what you need it to do? Thank you for watching and commenting!
@ericcrawford98272 жыл бұрын
@@5MinuteMusic Yeah. it's a great amp. Personally, I cut out the on board effects, and use pedals. Just my choice, because I have a pedal board, so just use the first channel. It's open to debate, not hatred. If I was 13 again, and could afford a Fender amp, it'd be precious.
