Redo the ground on the back of the truck. Just follow the harness and you'll see it. Go to the hardware store and get you a handful of those washers that look like snowflakes. They have little burrs that dig into the paint, rust, undercoat, or whatever. Put some behind every ground in the truck. It will take some time, but you will eliminate many electrical problems now, and in the future. Same for the trailer.

Great video... you might want to look in the owners manual and locate the relay that operates the tow lights.. i have seen them go bad and cause the exact issue that you have

Just get a cheap multimeter and check your electrical at the prongs on your truck plug. Simple check to see that they are all working.

A little of everything you said here, google, ask the weld boss or anyone else i might know on the job. Sometimes if we can't find any monthly before we get there we will stay in a nightly or weekly spot and look around more when we are there.

Man our dodges have a secondary fuse box check that first the same thing happened to me in my camper it was only a fuse on my truck

blue 20 amp bigger square type fuse is for your trailer running lights. i’ve blown a few. make sure to pull it check for any corrosion down in the box ya never know. but also a big thing with trailers in ground problems. but i’d say your truck is the problem on this one. cheers

Austin run a wire directly from your battery to a toggle switch on your dash then run a wire from toggle switch to the trailer plug for your taillights put a 20 amp fuse up by your battery and your done dodges are bad on their wiring for trailer tow especially on taillights side bad to burn up.
