Great review martin, you have a natural flowing style very easy to listen to. I have had pair Lowa for many years, got them resoled last year, and going strong. I have banding all way round and agree its needed, keep up the good work 👍

Fantastic review on the boots and advice on inner sole foot support

Thanks for the great review! Really helped me a lot in making a decision. For the insole i always use insoles of mysole anatomical. They have a plastic frame and are very durable but a bit more expensive. But yeah a good insole is a gamechanger!

Great review. I love the detail and specs you give on the product and I liked the comparison of the soles of the boots. Don't know how many times I've had boots and spent more time slipping and being conscious of slipping than enjoying the hike and scenery. 😂. Look forward to the next video.

I've been looking forward to this video. I love my Lowa renegade gtx! Good reminder that I should give them a bit of attention. Been wondering about getting the "warm" version for winter, too. 🤔

Hi Martin I have a pair of northface boots with the same type of front on the sole and they slip like mad going uphill on wet grass but really good going downhill

Any idea how many miles you would get from a pair of boots? Great review.
@soletrail3 ай бұрын
@@patrickconnolly768 that's a hard question to answer. All depends on how good you keep them. For example, my hanwags are 2 years old and I can see the soles wearing. Still in great condition so I'd say another year out of the soles and I will look at replacing the soles. The boot is still A1. Again all depends on how you good you keep them. I have even seen people wash the inside Gortex of the boot. Bit odd but it happens.

@soletrail Any idea how many hikes and distance covered?

Look like a good boot Martin but that sole would really put me off. I don't see how they would give good grip on wet grassy slopes and I encounter that kind of surface a lot. They look like an old sole already worn out. Have you tried them on that kind of terrain at all?

Can you recommend a booth for rock climbing,,definitely Non slip and good in mud and good on slippery surfaces,,,but not too expensive and great grip on rock surfaces
