I’ve been struggling with super sensitive, DRY, red, stinging, acne prone skin for a few years now. I started using that pink serum from the ordinary about two weeks ago along with my Vanicream face wash and Vanicream hyaluronic acid moisturizer (I was using both the whole time my skin has been a mess) and my skin is so smooth and clear and hydrated I can’t believe it. Eucerin redness night cream and Bioderma Sensibio for day were really helpful for me to clear rosacea/acne. Both I learned in vids from Dr Dray about rosacea. When I use anything lighter or skip night routine, then irritation comes back a bit. As a backup I use Vanicream cream, not lotion or another product - the big tub.

I have been caring for my skin all my life. As a person that had cystic acne as a teenager and visited a dermatologist since age 12 or 13 and used sunscreen almost all of my adult life, I have never used an Olay product. Yeah I love using petroleum jelly but definitely don’t recommend eating it. My dog ate a full jar of Vaseline and it wasn’t pretty. She didn’t get sick but let me just say she had a “cleansing” of a lifetime 😂

I think my favorite item from the ordinary is their "b oil" - has a green tint and kindof an earthy smell, but 2-3 drops of it mixed with my moisturizer after retin-a has worked wonders for my dry skin!!

I used to love the B oil too, but for some reason it gave me and my mom an adverse reaction. I had been using it for a month or so without problems, then one evening I accidentally left the bottle open overnight, and my mom and I used it the next evening. In the morning we woke up with our undereyes super red and swollen. It took a few days for the redness/swelling to calm down and then the skin under my eyes started peeling. I don't know if some bacteria got in when I had left it open or something

When I was a teen hipster flares and wide legs were in. I remember buying jeans and putting fun funky fabric inserts in to make the flares massive. Always worn with chunky platform trainers which were also in. I love flares they balance my shape out better. H&M had some good styles last year for me.

I have been using DHC cleansing oil since the 90s. I use it for double cleansing to remove makeup. It is the best! And much less expensive than the Tatcha brand.

I love the barrier serum from TO. I find it thick, so I just add a couple drops of water to it in the palm of my hand before putting it on. Or if my face is damp it spreads great. Has really helped the hydration and itchiness of my skin :)

I personally don't wear skinny jeans 👖 because to be honest they are not flattering me 😅 yeah they make my legs wow but not for me. You might be right about Pizza Hut because I hadn't been there in quite a while but needed to quickly pick up a personal pan pizza. The place was empty and no one greeted me. Almost had to look for someone to order the personal pan. Ask for a packet of crushed red pepper and parmesan cheese and was told that it was sold by the bottle now for my tiny little personal pan pizza. I said that's okay I'll just get some from the table and sprinkle on my personal pan before leaving and they said we don't keep any on the tables anymore and I said oh well guess I'll just eat it as is. What's up with that? I didn't want to hold bottle of Parmesan cheese and crushed red pepper.

Okay is doing fine because they basically reuse the same formula for every product, charge $40 for it, then just change the packaging every year or so. I think their new Super Serum is actually nice because they include a vitamin C ester, lactic acid, Niacinamide, and some other good ingredients into one gentle serum. For people who are sensitive, this is a good product. But the rest of their serums and moisturizers generally contain retinol, vitamin c, Niacinamide, peptides, or hyaluronic acid in varying strengths and combinations.

In light of eczema month, do you mind doing a video on what are the environmental and external triggers for eczema and what aren't? My neck eczema has been flaring for over a year and I've been going crazy trying to figure out what the issue is. Is it the hard water in the shower? Is it mold in my house? Is it the surfactants in the soap? Is it alcohol in minoxidil? Is it my hormonal medication ? At this point I'm hella confused. A second topic maybe could be how do you know if your eczema is infected by fungus or bacteria and in what cases can steroids be harmful? And lastly , what are eczema friendly chemical sunscreens? I feel you, I always get psoriasis (possibly eczema, the derm was not sure) on my neck and it's the bane of my existence haha. Mine is personally triggered by cats, dairy, citrus, dust, stress, and super inflammatory foods. And rinsing with just water and then applying snail mucin and a cream with urea in it really helps.

Literally it could be all the above. It’s way to hard to figure out on your own. I would recommend allergy testing to help narrow it but even that is just an experiment and not conclusive (at least in my case) because when I try to reduce/avoid I don’t really track changes in my eczema

The pink barrier serum has been great for managing dryness as I go through all of my skincare/otc retinoids before starting my prescription tretinoin. I saw a derm finally who wanted me to switch to prescription, but I was only using retinyl-palmitate nightly at that point. So I have been swapping between the samples and products I had picked up of the different retinoids. I started with Dermalogica Clearing Oil, currently using the ELF dual granactive and retinal, next will be the Avene Retinal before swapping to adapelene and then finally tretinoin. I don't expect to be able to continue to apply my retinoid nightly once I get to adapelene gel to be completely honest. The last time I tried tretinoin I couldn't use it more than once every two weeks. But I am hoping this method in combo with the pink barrier serum will help me avoid a major acne purge or painful irritation and broken skin barrier.

Based on derm videos regarding this, if you're acne prone, have oily skin or a history of milia, then you probably should avoid. But if you wanted to use, it could also be put over moisturizer. But you can also check her milia and/or vaseline videos.

I love the Neutrogena lip glosses! But answer me this-- why haven’t they put SPF in them? I think they’re missing the mark on this. But then, I want SPF in all my day time skincare…

Neutrogena DOES have lip balms with SPF. Four or five shades; only the two darkest ones show up on my lips. I've been wearing Fresh Plum for years; it's one of my top three lippies of all time. Wish they'd expand the color range and increase the color pigments.

Yes! And I do have several of them and I do really like them. But sometimes, I want a gloss and the Neutrogena are awesome. Just want them to have SPF.
