I'm not a Celtics fan but c'mon man. Hayward is a great all around guy, Kyrie is more than proven and he's one of the best closers in the league. Jalen Brown is the perfect role player and will only improve. Tatum is a natural scorer and they've got Horford to tie it all together. They're a great defensive team too. They're a finals lock barring a Kawhibot software update that makes him even better than a few years ago, and even then I just don't see it.

Toronto is very deep as well.. Statistically, the Raptors had a top 2 bench in the league last year, while the Celtics were around 6th. Now Jaylen Brown going to the bench obviously gives them a boost, but the Raptors bench is very, very good. With Lowry, Danny Green, Kawhi, Ibaka and JV, and a top 2-3 bench in the NBA, they can compete with the Celtics if both teams are healthy. Not saying they win, but it would be a competitive series. The east should be interesting this year to say the least.

Definitively not a cake walk lol. The Raptors will be a defensive juggernaut. There are a few teams in the east that may present a challenge for the Celtics and those are the Raptors, Sixers, and maybe even the Pacers. Not a challenge to beat them in a 7 gm series. They just won't make it easy. We just have to keep in mind that the Raptors were swept by the CAVS. The Celtics took the CAVS to a 7th game in the Eastern C finals and they were playing without their two best players. People like to hate on the Celtics but, the way I see it, if they remain healthy, The East is theirs. Lets remember that the Celtics have arguably the best coach in the NBA. To put something else in perspective, it is quite possible that the Celtics will have 5 players on the All Star lineup. Not all will start but I see their entire starting lineup making it to the all star game. Maybe Irving will be the only starter.

Toronto was always on top. They got better every year but just couldnt beat Lebron. They won 59 games last year. The year before they won 51 with Lowry out half the season. The year before that they won 56. Before that 49. Before that 48. The stats have shown they will continue to improve.

Boston will be better in one key aspect: more offense choices besides Kyrie. Gordon and JB and JT will make them GS East with a system and the depth to go deep in the playoffs.

By the time Boston "gets it together " the Raptors would have given them selfs a huge lead to win the seed in the Eastern conference. Now if it comes down to the Raps & Celtics in the Eastern Conference final. I would still favor the Raptors. Nothing against the celtics but they played eachother 3 time last year and Toronto beat Boston twice and gave them a beating. The only time Boston won was only by 1 point in their own home. Considering that the Raptors already beat Boston once this year and is a much more improved team then last year ..... it makes me wonder how Boston can still remain the favorites of the Eastern conference, One last thing. These shows live off the ratings of course we all know this. So if the network kepted talking about the Raptors are the favorites to win the East then it's safe to say that viewers will turn to another network. It is what it is. Boston is an amazing team over all. Everybody knows this but I'm gonna have to put my money on the Raptors. Boston has got to get it together real soon if they want any chance at all with an already confident Raptors squad.
