Are the Seahawks TAPPED OUT? Fixing Seattle's salary cap, with special guest Curtis Allen.

The budget has gotten tight for GM John Schneider and the Seattle Seahawks. With less than $2 million in available salary cap space this year, and not much more than that looking ahead to 2025 either, some major decisions will need to be made in the coming days and months. In fact, they'll need to adjust some contracts or jettison a few players just to sign any players taken in this weekend's NFL draft!
Should fans be concerned?

The lack of salary cap room (least in the NFL) is one of the reasons I think the Hawks may trade out of round one.

Sherman Jersey needs to go, sadly. Lockett would be a hell of an option if you have his! Edit: I want to clarify, I don't mind Sherman being iffy on supporting the hawks. He is perfectly entitled to whatever opinions he has about the organization. I can't, however, forgive him talking down to fans who supported him. Every fan base has a vocal bunch that say stupid things, Sherman took that, ran with it, and made it his outlook on the entire hawks fanbase. Can't support him after that.

Idk Sherman won a bowl in Seattle and broke his arm and still played snaps in the 2nd Superbowl. He didn't win with the niners or Tampa. His heart is with Seattle.

That’s how you run a business. You don’t have respect it to be right. He’s not worth the money and he isn’t good enough to be anything more than a placeholder; a bridge. Guys get cut because of money. Guys get moved when they aren’t good enough. Won’t know that if you are a fan of the player first and realize that it is e BUSINESS. And of the next guy ain’t nearly as good you are messing with Everyone’s money on the offense and defense to some point so all the other players will have one foot out the door. They were not trying to move him dude. They restructured as soon as he was possible to trade. They had a month. But as soon as he was restructured you lose money when you trade him. Why not explore that for a month ? And superbowl is not the priority for nfl teams. It is to run the business first. Super Bowl is same for the team and the fans. If it happens it’s awesome. But if Seahawks don’t win a superbowl it won’t really effect your daily life. Learn how to read before you write a dumb response

And the restructure was to make it easier to trade him: we take on more money immediately for other teams to not have to account for. He’s not good enough. Plain and simple.
