I got divorced at 33. As painful as it was, I learned a lot about who I am & what I want & mainly how to relate better with a male partner. I met my current life partner in 2018 & I fall in-love daily with him literally🥰💝

There is no right or wrong answer, no one gets married to get divorced but life happens. Life begins at any age. When you divorce at a younger age there are many chances of starting over but when you are old sometimes there are so many odds against you and you might not be able to start over depending on your financial resources. It is also easy to detach when you are younger than older because divorce shakes even relationships people build with family members and friends.

I do not think that divorce is good at any age shem, no one should have to go through that. Its messy for everyone involved :(.

With regards to the chores, I am going through my meltdowns now. I am 31, married with two kids and guys I am going through it🙃. Weekends bring me such anxiety because I don’t look forward to the chores. That time I can’t even afford to get a helper. Just like Bonga, both my kids’ clothes were washed by machine from day 1, just get the right setting (delicate) 🤧. Ha ah hle, I’m not enjoying that part of adulting.

I'm 29, and I'm about to start the divorce process, we have an 8 month old daughter together. This, for me, means I get to take my power back and rediscover myself. It also means that my beautiful daughter will have a happy mother.

It's the ability to start over again, I'm sure it's even a bonus if it happens without kids. People often say divorce affects kids more I think what affects kids is experiencing parents that don't love each other Anyway I think I saw Ursula on Saturday at Oriental Plaza, dont know if it was her😊

I respect everyone opinion regarding the issue of house chores, I still believe every child should be taught the basics like washing dishes , cleaning up the room and doing their own laundry.

Women always file for divorce. So the vows meant nothing😅. Pray for your marriage because Wow.

Love the conversation and it touched on a lot of topics. Please can we have a conversation on 1st born and last born expectations in the family. Ra sokola and have Lejoy speak about it,it's so emotionally draining and where do we seek help?

Divorce is a painful process. I don't think age matters. However its a human experience and it is never a waste of time. I got divorced at the age of 29 and it was a perfect time. It was a well thought process. The only challenge is the ripple effects of divorce when dealing with divorce debt especially when married in community of property. That was hard because the other party was not coming to the party in terms of their financial obligation.

Divorcing young is best, you can start afresh sooner. Some people stay married even when the relationship has clearly run its course due to the sunk cost fallacy. They find it hard to leave because they convince themselves they've invested too much time and resources into the relationship.

Going through the comments I find women leaving marriages. I wonder what's wrong? Why is it always women filling for divorce?

Sorry about that. Do you feel better off being young or do you think it would have been better if you were much older? Or it’s all the same?

This is not fair for the young man I mean 5 months. I hope y'all tried everything to make it work, honestly it's always sad when people divorce but nonetheless hoping you find strength and are able to overcome this turbulence.
