Are There Female Predators?

Did some more digging and apparently, yes, there are female Yautja predators albeit extremely rare as females have the role of caring for the offspring. Female predators were said to be EXTREMELY vicious and much more violent than their male counterparts, preferring to get up close and just dismember prey with melee weaponry. Their slimmer and shorter stature also made them more agile, so they were a lot better at climbing and stealth than the males. There's no proof or documentation a human ever bested a female yautja predator. If we go by Hunting Grounds' descriptions, the Valkyrie, a female predator, was considered one of the most merciless and petrifying predators to meet, and her reputation made the Vikings see her as an immediate ticket to Valhalla if you were slain by her in combat. No Viking ever lived to tell the tale when they went searching for her, so we'll never know just how vicious she was. But out of all the predators that visited earth, she certainly has the highest human body count. Tbh I REALLY want a movie with the Valkyrie

It dependent most people like to believe the women are bigger and muscular then the males. Like big mama, if you would guess would think she was a man if you would think Yautja women look like human women. It all dependents on the writer, but most people still like the idea that the Yautja men are smaller then their women (like the fan art is way to funny to make the Yautja women smaller then the men).

That's an interesting question! I can't think of a name off the top of my head, but something cool sounding like they did with feral, berserker, scar etc. It would be a classic predator but with some slight differences to make it unique and a surprise when he unmask himself. Weapons wise, I'd like to see the P2 style smart disc return, and something new as well we've not seen yet. If you've ever played resistance fall of man, I think a weapon like the hedgehog grenade would be a good fit for a predator weapon 😁

A Yautja Warrior with a handheld Plasma Caster strapped to the left leg. Two Combi staffs stored across the small of his back. Two wrist blades like normal. And a sack of mimicry devices on each hip. He's a bit on the smaller side and skinny but he's really agile and active. The mimicry devices have different settings but the default one is a loud clicking sound like how a Predator's mouth sounds like. He throws the mimicry devices to make his prey run around and drive them to a specific location he wants. Then uses quick jabs, cuts and jump attacks to scare or kill them. I call him Cricket.

Thanks for the lore summary. This is exactly what i was looking for. I dont really agree with your intro though. While there is a male hunter/warrior culture from the antique onwards, there is no evidence for a male/female split of tasks in paleontology and since groups and population were rather small back then it is not likely that any healthy member of the group would not hunt and gather. On a personal note, i would like to add i somehow do kind of want to see a female humanoid looking predator, but i dont think it makes sense from a biological standpoint as weilam03 stated and i came here to say that i dont think it makes any sense to let them be mammals that look like reptiles. But then its Pulp Sci-Fi and Fantasy. So why the hell not.

Most reptilian species, I believe most non mammalian animals on earth, exhibit sexual dimorphism (female larger than male) and it makes sense the Yautja would too as they’re non mammals and aliens. Larger sturdier bodies would handle pregnancy and birth better. Yautja are ornate species that are colorful and decorative and the mammary glands could either be part of attracting a mate or just because they were designed by humans. I also believe there is a story of Dutch encountering a female predator and describing her as less impulsive but just as or more dangerous as the male counterparts but I could be misremembering

You are correct that female Yaujta Dutch was describing was Cleopatra a female Yaujta who had been hunting on Earth since Ancient Egypt, and actually nearly killed him only reason why she didn't was because she showed him mercy but that was after she slaughtered his new team during that mission in Laos with as he put it a "ruthless efficiency he had never seen before" along with stating that unlike the Jungle Hunter Cleopatra did not fuck around. Briggs the CIA liaison with the army who debriefed Dutch after the encounter with Cleopatra stated this in his audio-recorded notes "If this latest encounter with this race of aliens is accurate then we just kicked the hornet's nest and the queen is pissed."

@@derrickhaggard predator hunting grounds lore? I'm not caught up on the lore. Don't much like their take on female predators bc they're scrawny and smaller than the males (skinny arms, small waist, small jaws, "long hair") I suppose human feminine standards are imposed for the audience. Thank you for the lore update I knew OF the story but not the specifics. She probably showed him mercy bc hunting him is more fun than killing him me thinks.

I think that happened in one book, a Yautja woman went on a hunt with her mate and her mate wanted revenge on a guy for killing his hunting buddy years ago. Long story short the male died because he underestimated the man and his wife, because they were old and the female gave them a hard time until she died also by the humans. But i do like the idea that there will be a female Yautja on the big screen one day, like maybe she can come to earth with her pups/sucklings or just go hunting because she needs a break from her pups and mate.

Also Cleopatra. She's mentioned in the Predator Hunting Grounds game. She's a female Predator/Yautja decked out in Egyptian motifs on her armor and she's most famous for nearly killing DUTCH.

@@kevinnorwood8782 Yep and Cleopatra is a Elder Matriarch as she's been hunting on Earth since Ancient Egypt and as Dutch put it in his debriefing with Briggs after his encounter with Cleopatra in Laos that unlike the male Yaujta he encountered in Colombia in the 80s the Jungle-Hunter, Cleopatra did not fuck around she knew exactly who her targets were that being Dutch and his new team, and lured them into her trap and slaughtered 99% of the team save for Dutch with as he put it a "ruthless efficiency" that he had never seen before, and then defeated him with little effort including trapping him in a razor net with for some reason Cleopatra showing mercy and letting him go.

Sadly that is the truth. As I would love to see a film focusing on one of the Valkyrie Predator's successful hunts during the Viking Age as she was said to be so ruthless, so cunning, and so skilled that any Viking who went looking for her in order to test their might according to what was said did not return and got a 1-way trip to Valhalla, or a film focused on Cleopatra's first successful hunt on Earth during Ancient Egypt.

They may exist, but i don't think they ever mention it. Yautja/predators don't really view relationships the way humans do. They don't really get married (what we know of) the thing that could be seen as the most to a mariage in their culture is only hunting with your mate. Like they probably don't even have worlds like boyfriend/girlfriend or husband/wife (in a story they even called the wife of a man they tried to kill the pray,s mate) and from what we know females and males spent only time together, when it mating season and when the females are pregnant the males dip out and go hunting again. Pups/sucklings get raised by their mother and other female family members (and sometimes a non-related female), but it's not unheard of that the dad will help raise his pup (but most males aren't really in their pups life untill it's time for them to learn to hunt) So it can be true that some Yautja/predators can be queer, it's not really been shown and probably won't, because the Yautja don't really see relationship like humans do.
