The Predator Homeworld - Yautja Prime Explained
Yautja Prime is the home planet of the Yautja species, also known as the Predators.
In AVP Requiem, it is shown orbiting a binary star system consisting of a G-Type star and a smaller Red Dwarf star; judging from the number of rocks we see in orbit around the planet, it would likely have a ring system.
The planet surface is Earth-like, but with higher temperatures, and has at least two major biomes: a dry, hot, desert environment, and a humid, wet jungle biome.
The Feral Predator from Prey was confirmed to be from the desert-region, and the Jungle Hunter clan are likely from the tropical-area.
The terrain is mostly made up of mountains and canyons, and intense volcanic activity is present, with the volcanic regions known to contain areas of lethal radioactivity.
Its atmospheric composition is almost identical to Earth’s allowing the Predators to breathe on our planet, at least temporarily; and the reverse would also be likely.
It also has a stronger gravitational pull, giving the Yautja the impressive physical strength they are known for.
The architecture of the Predator civilisation is made up of pyramids, statues, buildings, and other structures with a similar design-language to their hunting equipment.
Not much is known about the native life of the world, but there seems to be a plethora of wildlife including the K'yipsas - a flying insectoid, the Vy'drach - a winged beast also known as the Phoenix, which Spear-Masters would craft their unique armour from, and the Quatza-Rij - one of the planet’s fiercest creatures, the skin and bones of which are used to create a ceremonial Biomask.
The most noteworthy of course, are the Yautja themselves which are broken-down into three known subspecies:
The Classic Predators, Super Predators, and Feral Predators.
Classic Predators are the most commonly seen type, such as Jungle Hunter, City Hunter, and Scar.
Super Predators - A slightly larger type with a different head-shape, examples of this species are Berserker, Falconer, and Tracker.
And the Feral Predators - A more savage, primitive type with their own appearance. The only known individual is known as the Feral Predator.
Individual groups, factions, and communities of the Yautja are usually referred to as tribes or clans with the two terms being used interchangeably.
Depending on the specific tribe, each may follow slightly different laws and rituals, but most follow a similar code of honour where only dangerous enemies are to be hunted, and killing those who do not pose any threat are deemed dishonourable; Any Yautja who disobeys this code become known as Bad Bloods, essentially Yautja criminals and outcasts.
A few examples of these tribes are The Lost Hunters, The Isolated Clan, and The Dark Blade Clan.
The main ruling authority of Yautja Prime are the council of Ancients, who act as spiritual leaders of the species, and provide guidance and structure via the laws they create.
The Council is responsible for keeping sacred Yautja rituals and traditions alive, and to also uphold the honour and integrity of the species as a whole and will ruthlessly destroy anything that sullies that honour.
Thousands of years ago, an advanced insectoid alien-race called “The Amengi” invaded the planet of Yautja Prime, and enslaved the more primitive ancestors of the Yautja, who were then known as the “Hish”.
The Amengi ruled over the Hish ruthlessly, using them primarily for slave labour, food, and as a means of entertainment (specifically for fighting competitions)
However, after becoming soft from centuries of luxury, the Amengi were suddenly subject to a massive uprising, led by an unusually strong and intelligent Hish known as Kaail.
Despite their advanced technology, the Amengi were overwhelmed by the rebels, and slaughtered. The survivors were themselves enslaved by the Hish, who seized their advanced technology and used it for themselves.
Although the story about the Amengi enslaving, and then becoming overthrown by the Predators isn’t really considered canon, I think it would explain how a seemingly primitive-acting tribal society would have access to things like energy-weapons and interstellar spaceships.

We need a predator open world game, like RDR2, where we start as a unblooded yautja, and need to do tasks, to get to higher ranks, maybe even to become a leader of a clan, or a king of all yautja species, where we can drive a ship, explore new planets, new species, go to hunts, wars and so much more. That would be one of the best games ever and would not stop playing it

Many of us fans of the Predator franchise would love to see more about the Yautja and their homeworld Yautja Prime in future movies, video games, comics, and graphic novels, and also hopefully in some live-action TV Series and some animated series too to farther grow the Predator Franchise along side with the AVP franchise as well along with the Aliens Franchise too.

Predators, in general, are badassess, but Wolf is a higher level badass. Granted, I know there are other predators out there that can beat Wolf in a fight or kill him, but he's clearly different compared to most other Predators we've seen in the other films.

I think the yautja having created there own technology at their peak and returning to a tribal society is on of the best (even if not intentional) depictions of a directionless post scarcity society and it repercusions in all of fiction. The idea of them seizing the tech from another species is kinda meh.

I made a Yautja Green Lantern for my tabletop superhero RPG DC Heroes. Considering their interesting culture, I thought it intriguing how that Yautja would interact with other GL's, how both Yautja and Green Lantern Corps codes of conduct would interrelate, and how it would sometimes refuse to use its Power Ring when it encountered certain opponents. Being both a defender of sentient life and a hunter of the same, I thought it would make some truly fascinating stories!

Honestly the back story with the amengi is something that’s really cool I get some people just want the yautja to be hunters and they just became like this after millions of years of evolution but using the amengi sounds more interesting and makes more sense to me as to how they became the way they are. Hunter lifestyle: they were forced to fight, hunt and be hunted Warrior/tribal traditions: adding to the last statement, they value the concept of strength and the hunt not only in remembrance of how they came to be but also so they don’t repeat the mistakes of the amengi Technology: amengi made it for them and their descendants as far as I know are the main manufacturers of weapons and tech on yautja prime. It’s noted in predator hunting grounds that majority of predators humans came across dont know how to make their own tech they just know how to use it, they hardly even fix it when it’s damage so it does fit with the amengi still being around to do the labor for them while the yautja focus on hunting. Also the inclusion of the alpha predator in the game. Anatomy comprising of different species of animals: (not talking abt the genetic altered predators in 2018) by themselves already the yautja species possess different traits from other animals like on our planet, examples are heat vision and occasional scales on skin (reptiles), mandibles (insect or crustacean), body structure almost too human like (mammalian), green blood (some say it’s insect in nature or even nitrogen based, note all life on earth is carbon based) etc. to me it doesn’t make sense how all these parts can evolve naturally, genetic manipulation of the hish from the amengi answer that perfectly. I honestly really wish it was canon as its just a really cool way to fill in the areas we want to know about the species in general. Also kind of wish you mentioned the arctic and volcanic species of predator from the toys since those are also really cool to me the arctic ones in particular since they don’t use camo and have translucent skin because they are in sheer cold environments and the fact that everything they hunt is blind. Would love to see a movie with them one day. Love the video.

Being an inter galactic species, i dont think they all come from the same planet. Maybe they do all originate from the same planet but most likely they're scattered all over the galaxy, hence the morphological differences.

We've had a predator setting in colarado the jungle the city and the artic circle the amreicas .maybe another film in a different climate like a desert or maybe when humans actually visit yuata prime would be great .
