To me, Balenciaga absorbed all of the clientele Mugler could have. I don’t know if there’s a need for both. Even when Ghesquiere’s Balenciaga was gaining momentum, Mugler was winding down. So much of Mugler was the man himself & there’s no real way to replicate that. Kind of like JPG, a huge personality that helped sell the clothes. Also, it’s hard to step out of the shadow when people will forever reference the 80s & 90s HC shows.

I still wear my Kenzo tiger sweater (the one everyone seemed to have) from time to time and have a kenzo clutch but outside of that find it a tad uninspiring. Re. I think DSquared2's biggest issue is their pricing, like I get that it's luxury but the argument that you can get the "same" thing from other brands for significantly less rings SO true with them, more-so than most IMHO. So much of their stuff has always reminded me of an ultra high end Abercrombie circa 2001-2005. The destroyed denim, logos, branding, dirty/tongue in cheek graphics.

I think there is a sense of curse when a brand becomes super trendy at the moment, to the point that is too popular and there is too many knock offs. Oversaturated, too accessible and nothing new happening. With that being said having a moment and on being on trend all the time is not possible. I have huge respect for brands that stick to their dna and create great garments, regardless of trends.

I feel like Victoria Beckham took A LOT of notes when she wore Mouret back in the day and applied them to her own label. Her dresses are insanely flattering and well made and I was glad to hear you mention in one of the videos you posted a few days ago that her label is finally becoming profitable. Very well deserved. DSquared quality is top notch but I always wait for sales to get their stuff. I am obsessed with their outwear but feel like maybe the fact that they have such a hard time ditching real fur is the reason why a lot of their customers went elsewhere. Moschino is fun but I feel like their cheaper line, Love Moschino, is literally EVERYWHERE. I am talking every Marshall's store you walk into, you get assaulted by racks and racks of Love Moschino merch which isn't exactly appealing ... to me, anyhow. Kudos on another great video, Cassie! xo

I think with Mugler, its such a recognizable brand. probably like 2 out of 5 people have that mesh cut out design from them in pants, a body suit or something. So with that I think its one of those things where people dont wanna wear in "fear" of looking like the masses. Unfortunately, not many people actually dress how they really would like, they dress how other people *influence* them to. so im sure alot of mugler is catching dust in many closets

One thing I will say about Moschino is that if you want to try a trend they are very affordable to do so. I said this on a video of yours a few years back when the Chanel and Prada dad sandals was all the buzz that I purchased the Moschino version because it was cheap. Now that the trend is about over I didn't pay the higher prices just to try it. Also, they have great swimwear that are unique.

Especially the jewel tone metallics and velvets that have a nice and streamlined silhouette. And the little metallic stripe peeping out along the bottom of the neutral pumps.
