To answer the sc clip. Fire attacks are unblockable. Lightning just guard crushes. As for the “mix” it was just strike throw.

The problem is these are limited by the games they are in. There's no BBTAG, there's no Skullgirls, no Blazblue, no Persona 4, no Hokuto no Ken, no Jojo's Bizzare Adventure, barely any Guilty Gear and Melty, no MvCI and the stuff from MvC2 and 3 is like baby's first mixup.

Im a ferm believer in "Its not a Mix up until your opponent knows its a Mix up" otherwise they are just getting hit. Once they know its a Mix up an they guess wrong or you see their character do the walk of shame (when you cross up your opponent an they dont react so their character walks into the cross up) then they are actually MIXED.

0:40 That wasn't really a crazy mix, more of gimmick/knowledge check i think. I believe what happened was that Idom thought that Punk had dropped the combo and just didn't know that Akira can still attack on her way down from a dropped V-Skill 2 combo.

Funny how a lot of it was just corner-stealing. Which is fair enough, it does look jarring to see a whole character suddenly spawning there, but we can do better.
