Your operation is so similar to what mine was, except we didn't have a fraction as much extended family working there( but several of my siblings and most of my nephews, nieces and cousins did at some point as they were growing up) so we had a lot of employees. Some of them worked for me for over 25 years, so they were like family. Watching you brings back lots of memories. I loved watching you plant-I could feel the collective cringe from all the home gardeners who think you must place each seedling perfectly in the soil and tamp everything smoothly around them. Nah, shove 'em in deep, the water smooths out the soil, the plant grows towards the light, and in 2 days they look great!

Some of the best greenhouse hose is just 3/8" US made air line. hard to kink, flexible and flows plenty for the situation. Just have to build the endings.

That Oatmeal looked good! The best hose I have used and is kink resistant is real rubber hoses. Still flexible in cold weather. Downside is that they are heavy.

Your tomatoes look divine!! I wish I lived closer, I'd have a few of those plants at my home. Unfortunately, I live about 10 to 12 hrs of driving away, so that is out.. lol!!! I laugh at Ralph, because he's a smart aleck, and he also shares my late father's name. My Dad was an instigator (or as we call it, the biggest toad in the puddle), and loved to pull practical jokes on anyone, including Mom. Can't wait to see what's next on the farm.!!!!!!

Get a metal hose...no kinks and slides around corners and obstacles like a snake, plus they are less weight. The only hose I will use and have had them for years. Cherry Falls is better than the Tumbling Toms.

We do that because we don’t have enough room in the germination greenhouse to plant directly into the large trays. So it saves us a lot of room

Get a Flexilla hose. I've had one since 2016. It gets hauled around and so far so great. It doesn't kink. Expensive but worth it.

I bought a hose from the big orange store made by the Good Year tire company. It was years ago so I am not sure if they still make hoses. It has never kinked because the walls are so thick. I'm sure they had extra rubber laying around from making tires.

If you plant your own tomatoes from starts... Trim many of the leaves then bury the plant. And Andrew said, the hairs will become roots. It is a stronger plant.

Look for a kink proof hose instead of kink resistant. It's the difference between water proof and water resistant.

Oh hey I use a hose that's black with a gold stripe and it never kinks. I'll have to see what brand it is. I want to say I got it at Lowes but it may have been Rural King. EDIT: Oh my goodness it's literally called Never Kink from Lowes 😆
