I bought my daughter the Ulta advent calendar for $18 - it was a star made out of 12 little boxes with little smaller sizes of Ulta brand make up. It had highlighter, eyepencils, sparkly eyeshadow. A really great purchase. Shame on Sephora!!!!

definetly. from what i read from a few comments the small aplicators are given out for free in stores and so are the mini testers.. idk i'm not into makeup myself so idk from personal experience but honestly i saw a big 24 day beauty advent calender at my local dollar store for 15€ and they listed what is inside on the back and they didn't even put sponge aplicators or disposable mascara wands in there..

@@bitchette I'm in the U.S., yeah they always have the new makeup sitting out in these large "tester" stations with mirrors so you can put the eyeshadows, foundations and all lip products on yourself to make sure you like it before purchasing. All the the small powder puffs, tiny mascara wands and eye-shadow applicators are in jars around all tester stations along with makeup remover liquid, Kleenex, qtips and makeup remover pads to remove whatever product you test.

Hi, so the ring thing is actually for you to pump foundation on so you don't have to put too much on your face at once! It's much easier to regulate the amount of product this way with a brush or other application sponge. ^_^ Having that being said, the calendar still isn't worth it for that much money :D
