I love that fact that you do more than just unbox these, but do a deeper dive in the prices, values, expiration dates, and everything. I think more people should do this instead of just aimlessly buying stuff. Especially since this Christmas (on social media) really felt like a contest of “who has the most gifts” or “who spent the most”. I appreciate you shedding light on these large companies LITERALLY SCAMMING people hundreds of dollars for samples, expired products, and overpriced items.

Do not stress about being pale. I'm a true redhead and a burn survivor, your arm looks tanned compared to mine. I had a day surgery once and they would not let me go home because they thought something was wrong, as I was so pale. The nurse that admitted me said, "no, she is fine, that is the color she came in with."

In the uk making an item exclusively for a store, especially one like harrods, is common and it’s most definitely not a negative! It gives the store the opportunity to tell the consumer you can only get it there. Whether it’s on the shelf or in a calendar it’s all about exclusivity!

41:42 i’ve seen people put neutralizing lipsticks on their lips to conceal their natural color before putting on lipstick, so it’ll stay its swatch color on your lips !! i know literally nothing about makeup but that might help neutralize the orange, if you’re interested in wearing it anyway 😄

Neutral lipsticks look orange on me, too. Oh, and as for pale: a couple of years ago I was receiving IV treatment at a hospital clinic for severe anemia and the nurse tapped my arm and said, "My goodness! We'll get some colour back into you!" I didn't have the heart to tell her that this was as good as it got!😂

Especially with advent calendars, she specifically only tries products that she thinks she is likely to use so that she can donate or gift the ones she's not going to use. She gets hundreds of skincare and makeup items coming in constantly and it would be a big waste to try them once only to never use them again. (Also, it's not a good idea to test 20+ skincare items in a short span of time.) I don't know if she still does this but historically, she'd always try on the items in her ispy bag unboxings.

Honestly I think that Tom Ford lipstick looked incredible on you. Since a clear and saturated orange is part of your natural coloring, the orange tones in the lipstick made it look really natural and like it belonged on you. It could easily be a your-lips-but-better shade because it’s cohesive with your coloring.

EGF stands for Epidermal Growth Factors. These are special types of peptides that send messages to particular cells to produce collagen in the skin. These cells get "lazy" because we lose 90% of our natural growth factors by the time we're 30. So these cells don't get the messages anymore to make collagen. To put on open top perfume, put your finger over the hole and tip. The perfume will go on your finger tip. Use the finger tip to apply it to your wrist or whatever. Just like putting on old school foundation without a pump.

You can also dab the cap on your wrists directly as the stopper hole on the inside of the cap usually has a few drops of the perfume in there if you flip the bottle upside down before opening it! This way you won’t have a fragrant finger in case you don’t like the scent.

With dropper perfumes put your index finger over the opening and turn it upside down and dab it on that way....i used to get my grandma's samples and she taught me 😊 love the continued advent calendar series..it makes my entire day ❤🎉

I am here no matter how long it takes to go through the advent calendars! I have recorded myself reading pictures books for my niece to listen to since they live far away. The longest video is around 10minutes and I can’t tell you how many retakes I go through. Due to how prestigious Harrods is there are a lot of companies who will make special versions for the store. Even really big names will have a Harrods specific SKU (product code). Incidentally, a UK electronics retailer was infamous for having SKUs unique to their stores for products also sold elsewhere. It means you technically can't claim to get an identical product elsewhere should you try to compare prices or apply for a price match. 🖤

I was just thinking, you asked if there was a better way to test the little tiny bottles of perfume a different way. Do you think dipping a q-tip in it could get enough of a sample to run on your arm? It wouldn’t be messy. I can’t wear perfume/colognes, so I have no idea if that would work. Those little perfume bottles are wonderful. I have some, but I collect them mostly. Best way to use them is to put finger on top and tip. Than you get a small amount on your finger to put where you wish(neck, whrist ect).

The Harrod’s calendar is always one of my favorites of your advent videos. Just the sheer value is insane imo. Even if you don’t plan on using absolutely everything, if you would enjoy and use even half of the products you’re absolutely getting your money’s worth. And you can give the rest of the products away to people in your life who might enjoy them more than you would. The final value at the end of the Harrod’s calendar always just blows me away lol

Staying pale shows you are doing the right thing for yourself - a lot of lupus-related skin issues are exacerbated bu sun exposure. Also palmar erythema can be lupus linked so could be that. Absolutely love the formal version of sweats in honour of Harrods

Clarins is absolutely amazing skin care. I got my mom into it about 15 years ago and at that point you could buy it at London drugs. She absolutely swore by it and it is an amazing skin care line. Back then you could get the whole lineup for approximately $200. Now each cream cost around $150. It's still amazing skin care just a really amazing price increase.

Soooo... where I grew up in a small small small town in Wyoming, there was a jeweler named Mr. Herrod. He was a very niceman, well trusted with anyone's jewelry (many people from towns around ours would ONLY trust Mr. Herrod to honestly fix their jewelry.) Anyway, when I first heard of Herrods, I thought it MUST be the same family as that wonderful man. Maybe they're related, maybe not. But Mr. Herrod in MY home town was well revered for his honest and generosity. Makes sense, to me, that an advent 📅 with the same name would offer generous value. Anyway, shout out to Mr. Herrod for his family. He passed many years ago as he was advanced in age when I was a mere child (and shhhhh... I'm 42, now!). Haven't seen the whole video, yet, just the intro, however it reminded me of Mr. Herrod from Rawlins, Wyoming, USA. I know my family was blessed to know him.
