I believe as adults, we know what are we're doing. There's absolutely no way you can reason your way out of doing something wrong. If you start giving offenders second chances, they will start to test the limit on how far they can go.

When you stop loving someone, you will start to see them for who they truly are ie very ordinary and simple. Your love and admiration for them made their appearance special. On another note when is Nigel gonna start his fanclub ?

Is that what being "Blinded by love" meant..? We have to ask Nigel about the fan club! 😂

How is the guy groping the girl deserving of a second chance even if it's a "moment's folly"? Agree with the comments saying that we are adults and we know what we're doing. Just because someone is under the influence of alcohol, it doesn't excuse them from their crimes. Molestation is a crime and it's simply unforgivable... I believe that any decent person would have the mental and moral restraint to not do such things even if they were drunk. The impression that i got was that only nigel felt strongly about this :/

When I was in uni, there was once when we were told quite last minute that we were having a test on that day. I didn't bring my notes and the rest were trying hard to study and I was just hanging around the few coursemates that we always hang out together (consider our group la). Out of pity, my friend decide to read out loud to revise and for me to at least have a chance to kinda revise. Then we went for the class to have the test. Miraculously, I got second highest in my class and the lecturer was giving everyone a hard time and even called out my name saying that I revised for the test, that's why I managed to score. After that, my friendship with that friend became never really solid anymore because that friend is also one of those who want to score high. Sad.

Kinda strongly disagree with Ben on the 2nd chance like settle internally or whatever. Yes 2nd chance - but only after you had served your punishment. No way that offender will keep his hand to himself , or regardless of whatever crime (big or small) a person has done - you did it as an adult, and you should understand the consequence!
@WayneLLC2 ай бұрын
The criminal intent was clear - driving someone home and asking if anyone is at home; if anything, the perpetrator was trying to build circumstantial factors to be able to excuse himself. This type should never be allowed to have a 2nd chance - and the near miss should not be a reason to condone.

for maternity leave , govt law should only apply to company with more than 99 employees, so that the size of the work place is able to cover the cost of 4 months maternity leave. but SME would be problems especially with strength of less than 50. productivity drops and cost would increase if were to hire part time staff to cover the 4 months.

for the "no money why get pregnant" part, i had a colleague like this once, and my other colleagues in the dept (including me) also got rather annoyed at how we always had to cover for her by doing her share of work, and barely getting a pay increase, yet she can get paid for not working at all but ofc im not shitting on her for being pregnant, it definitely does feel annoying to have to cover for someone else

I helped my sis to pay for stuff before and when asked for the money back, was scolded terribly with lots of nasty things like saying the money I have wasn't really mine as it was given by my parents and aunt, told me to work for the money instead. she would often get into heated argument and told me off to go get a job, thereafter when my doctor declared I have pituitary gland damaged after nine years of seeing my doctor, my mom told her off saying that at least I saved up to buy the things I want and able to afford it while she lived by pay check to pay check with credit card debts and since then her attitude were much better.

Maybe like pro-rate the pregnant colleague who's a newcomer and let her know that she is still entitled to go on maternity leave when due, however, the amount to cover her maternity leave will also only be credited after her first 12 months working in the company? (But AWS will not be applicable that year since 3/4 of the time she is away) If she decides to leave before clocking the first year, then she will choose to forfeit her maternity leave compensation. To be fair to the pregnant candidate, maybe give her 2 days of leave to spend time with her child after her first 12 month working in the company, to sort of "celebrate" her 1st year in the company as well. Does the job need the candidate more? Or does the candidate need the job more? Something like that la. Main thing is to keep both parties happy and yet not be disruptive to any business's operations.

Regarding the friend bringing the food for cooking at restaurant. Actually not exactly sure about this in f&b...but won't the restaurant be risking something if the brought in meat turns out to be contaminated and then result in food poisoning case? 🤔

CASE 2: SHOULD HAVE TOLD HER & CALL THE POLICE WTF? why wld u w her to continue dating a predator? Case 3: I think we shld also raise awareness on malays not being afraid to give birth as well. I learned this recently to my trip to msia where the grab driver told me in insalm, there r 3 reasons (can ask ur malay frens abt it) why muslims continue to grow their family despite financial situation. Rlly open my eyes on the situation where many ppl make racists remarks on malays having too many children.

Ryan, your HR should have vetted the candidate properly before Hirer decides to hire or not. If your own processes is bugged, dont blame it on the person nor the govt policy.

my mom asked for maternity leave but wasn't allowed, which she reported to manpower. which when her boss asked her to leave immediately as her boss didnt like that was reported. I used to thought that it was my fault for having me when she told me when I was in sec4, but I forgot about it as I had head injury shortly after that and last year found I have pituitary gland damaged which doctor insisted it was because I was born with it. until I asked her again this year, turned out it was when she was having my sis.
