You missed the most important point of a waterproof case which is salt water protection. IP rating is against fresh water. Salt water causes corrosion to the exposed metal on your charging port which is where a good waterproof case comes in handy. A day at the beach with some underwater pics and videos is now possible without ruining your phone.

Had an IPhone 11, it survived multiple water accidents in uhhhh unfortunate places but needed battery replacement both times. Today I ordered a new IPhone 12, rip IPhone 11 you were a trooper. I will invest in a case like this because I’m tired of spending 70€ multiple times a year. Let’s hope this one lasts longer than a year :)

Good video, one thing that was not mentioned was call quality. I have a punkcase waterproof Case for my xr and my voice is quite muffled during use. I have stopped using my punk case due to this and gone back to the clear overpriced axessorize case I got with my phone

I do lawns for a living and 80% of the time when I sweat my phone unlocks and starts dialing numbers by itself . I have a water proof iPhone 7 with a regular speck case , my phone isn’t broke or nothing wrong with it but doing lawns all day you get dirt and grass in your pocket and in your phone at the end of the day . Also the worst thing for me is it always gets wet from sweat and then it unlocks itself and the phone starts pressing buttons and dialing numbers on the key pad when it was locked and in my pocket and sometimes it opens apps on its own when it’s wet and stops playing my music to dial numbers and I have to stop mowing and close it back out and start the music again , with sweaty hands it’s even harder to do . it gets annoying and waist a lot of time , I really need to try one of these cases and see if that helps , I think it will. I’ll come back and update my comment after I try out the case

My iPhone XR has an ip67 rating so it’s technically somewhat water proof but I plan on getting a waterproof case so I can bring it snorkeling in salt water. I know salt water can be corroding.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE WATERPROOF LANHIEM CASE!!!(I also recommend the 2021 Moto G Power to specifically go with it...) I DID get a new smart phone THIS WEEK. Some moisture got in my camera lense on my Revvlry+ (which only cost me 150$ two years ago) so I got a new "water repellent" 2021 Moto G Power with 4gb ram & 64 GB storage; I got the phone and case on my Amazon through a 'black Friday deal' for a scant $129 & 14.99!!! That's crazy cheap! They claim it has a 48MP camera, however it's just about as good as the Revvlry+'s 16MP camera. (Still a really great camera for the price, especially good in lowlight) So the Moto G Power is AWESOME! I DID get a waterproof case (Lanhiem case) which was only 19.99, and at the time was on sale for 14.99 so I went for it! All I'm hoping for it to do is prevent rain from destroying my phone after moderate exposure. This happened to two phones already. This Lanhiem case seals extremely tight (the seam is invisible) and the plugs for the holes on the bottom are very robust. Based on the high build quality, I'm very confident that my phone could withstand pouring rain while hiding in my pocket or jacket. Sound quality is good, (same as before) whether I'm on the phone or listening to music. People hear me fine and I hear everything else just fine. Only thing I REALLY wanna find a video of, is someone specifically testing the Moto G Power with this _specific_ Lanhiem waterproof case, because the case's description on Amazon legit claims; "Phone is safe to submerge 6.6 feet for 1 hour; even after 1000 consecutive tests". That's one hell of a claim! Like I said, I'm not looking to go scuba diving and filming starfish for an hour straight with my phone. I'm looking for something that will keep my phone 100% safe in the case I drop it into a deep puddle, or if I get caught in torrential downpour and can't avoid my phone getting soaked, and just a general sense of security for my beloved smartphone that is typically a guaranteed death sentence for 99% of electronic devices. So once again, for people just looking to protect their devices from moderate exposure to water (people working on boats, power washer people, anyone who works outside) I HIGHLY recommend this case, and HELL, if you aren't obsessed with having the best phone on the market at the time, check out the Unlocked 2021 Moto G Play/Power/Stylus. Whole lineup is good, they just have minor differences that appeal to different people! I know the 2021 Moto G Power is on sale for the next few days at $129 for the 4gb ram/64gb storage(expandable up to 512GB, 48MP camera/1080p 30/60 FPS Video is, Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 Octa-core Kyro 260 64-bit, Android 10, 15Watt Turbo Charger, 6.6 inch screen, Unlocked version: (COMES IN DIFFERENT COLORS TOO!!!). Amazon claims it's 48% off at that price, and as a user of both products for the last week and half, I can say it is well worth it. By far the best budget smart phone I've ever purchased. It looks like a top-tier phone because it has 3 big camera lenses on the back, and a fancy fingerprint scanner on the side where the power button always is! (IMPORTANT: THE 2021 VERSION IS WAY BETTER THAN THE 2022. I HEARD 2020 IS BEST BUT HARD TO FIND) Along with this case, I'm excited to feel confident next time I get caught in torrential downpour on my motorcycle.
