Are We About to Witness the Ivory-Billed Woodpecker's Return?

Hunt for the Ivory Billed Woodpecker, The largest of the woodpeckers north of Mexico and the third largest in the world, the Ivory-billed Woodpecker was a bird of old-growth forests in the southeastern U.S. and Cuba. Destruction of its forest habitat caused severe population declines in the 1800s, and only very small numbers survived into the twentieth century. It was thought to have gone extinct in the middle of the twentieth century. I commend your perseverance. But this was half a year ago. What’s the verdict? All these disjointed clips don’t tell much of a story.

It's all part of a larger documentary project that is in the works. I will be back in November once the leaves are gone again. Then back in the spring. I have many interviews still to conduct and all these clips have helped me sort through two years of footage. These clips are just teasers on what it takes to hunt for an elusive and possible extinct bird. And Im always open to criticism and suggestion!
