In Poland, a forest cat has a house, only there he lives in a forest plot, here I would think it would be ideal for him and sometimes a scientist would visit me. the forester encourages such thinnings. Ideally, there is no harm and nature, and no harm, I don't use plastic here. I was fascinated. I used to walk away from my grandmother as a child and thought I needed to make such a place, but the militia came to scold me that I was making a partisan bunker.

It’s fun to explore your independence & self-sufficiency. It’s fun to challenge yourself. It’s fun to see if you could “make it out there” if you had to. It’s fun to use & enjoy the abilities your body has before it becomes enfeebled by age. And digging in the dirt/mud has been scientifically shown to help lessen the symptoms of depression because there are microbes in the soil that trigger your brain to increase its serotonin levels, which can have a natural antidepressant effect on humans. It can also help to strengthen your immune system & protect you from being as likely to develop PTSD if you experience a traumatic event. They’re the same microbes that make the air smell so good right after it rains, an aroma known as petrichor, which can have the very same antidepressant effect on the human brain. Many of the characteristics & elements of the sights, sounds, & smells we experience while spending time outdoors have been found to have stress-relieving, calming, antidepressant, relaxing, mood-boosting, immune-building, & resiliency-supporting effects on humans. If you don’t think this kind of stuff is fun, smart to learn in case of an emergency, or that it can at least offer some positive benefits to those who enjoy doing it as a hobby, then you may be on a channel that’s not meant for you. 🤷🏻

That you are so deft at executing them AND at filming, editing and creating a comprehensive teaching video is a whole other thing entirely. Please don't think I'm being antagonistic - I'm not, I'm highlighting the fact that we all can do this and we all have the skills needed to "survive" with the methods shown. That's really quite important. It is fantastic that the dude making the video is imparting his skills and showing that we can utilise our own skills, however basic, in such a manner that we too can construct something similar to the incredible little "house" in this video. Also, I'm not at all meaning to detract from the skills, experience and knowledge of this dude - he's done many of us a favour by showing what we can do with a little forethought and some hard work, (it is somewhat time-consuming, for sure). Please also understand that I'm not saying that you're wrong at all - I'm just wanting to share the fact that we all have the ability to make something like this - it is requiring skill, but we all have the required skills. I just want to remind others that they too can do this if they find their self in a relevant survival situation. Sorry for yapping on! Be safe and well, sir

Exactly bro! Our lifestyle is so much more comfortable, we have pretty much everything we want; yet we still have wild fantasies of being stranded out somewhere and surviving. This will be the average house afforded by Gen Z, so take notes.
@bazingapuzza2 жыл бұрын
@@radxan3295 the reason for that is because we are animals. Biologically speaking we are meant to stay in the forest and hunt down bears, not on a phone/computer sitting on the couch all the day. Also we leave in too much commodity. We used to have winter/spring / summer. Now we have summer all day long, since in winter we only spend few hours outside and most of the time we Are in hot indoors. Then you go back home and sleep naked cause is very hot. Of course is not normal. From a person That like bushcraft and wild i can tell you there is nothing more refreshing and nice than spending all the day in the forest working to achieve something in cold whether, and then coming back home in a warm place and taking a nice bath. Now days when is +10 Celsius outside for most of the people is " cold ".

Consider placing 4 rocks at each corner on chimney then set a large rock slab to prevent rain from dousing your fire. Consider having a drainage trench to route rain water out of dugout. My Uncle taught us as young lads, several decades ago, how to build a field expedient shelter. He was an Infantryman NCO in WWII. Had the wounds and trench foot damage to prove it. Taught us young lads Basic Infantry skills We all were Boy Scouts. And Hunters. Your dugout is the Best I have seen. Merry Christmas. Best

I grew up in a rural part of the state of Ohio as kids we spent our summers making huts & forts in the woods, if we came across a creek we were in it. Now at 67 living in a nearby small town we still have access to nature trails& lots of places to go out & get next to nature. Even in my backyard we have lots of wildlife.
