Almost completed! Adaline must be so excited for her dream is coming true. You don't really have 4 children anymore.....you have 2 young men and 2young women. And they seem to be learning their parents work-ethic. I also look forward to enjoying more cooking and baking with you, Ashley. See you all on your next visit with us.

The DoD uses an ultra white, thermal barrier coating on inside and outside of their container conversions used in desert environments. It's so efficient you can point a blowtorch on outside and put your bare hand against the inside. I believe it's like a bedliner type coating with ceramic particles that prevent thermal transfer...might be useful on container and the home outside too.

Bonjour la famille. mini-split, solar panels, voltage regulator oh my ! what an action packed vidéo. kuddos to the boys for helping dear ol' Dad. imagine later in life, the boys commence to create and build their proper establishments. jonathan and ashley you've planted good seeds of life in your children and you'll all will benefit for it. i'm little under the weather today, but i got home, watched this vidéo and then off to bed. as i close my eyes, i see two things; the beautiful 'pulls' on the cabinets and the head of Ashley behind behind the refrigerator. I always thought that Ashley is a 'cool human being' and now i have the proof !!!

I love the pocket screw mounting of the cabinet walls done by Brittany and Cullen. Wow, putting the fridge up so the door won't hit the milking stand! Changing the refrigerator door swinging looks hard to do! Nice job guys! I like how you attached more wood to the shelf for the refrigerator and brought it out more for ventilation behind it. Nice, getting the mini-split hooked up! I love the cabinet! You guys are so creative. Yay, the mini-split install was successful! Great idea to protect the lines from the dogs with a planter! I hope the couple of panels will help charge the batteries. The baby goats are so cute. Was that Cloud or Trona the baby goat was on top of? I love the cabinet handles Ashley and Adali! I am so impressed about how much you have done guys! Thanks for this video Longnecker family!

Weld you some mount bars on top of that container that leave ya some venting space on top of that container. It'll shade the roof to make the building cooler and allow your panels to run much cooler as well.
@rudyfisher766010 ай бұрын
One thing is you can get a piece of 3 inch angle arm insteand stick it about 3 foot 4 foot or 5 even 5 foot above just willed it to the side of the container and raise it up about 5 foot above the container and then come from the other side and bring A. Short pace that you can screw glue a angle to it and come from the short piece to the 5 foot piece and put your solar panels on that. Make sure you're facing the Sun. And then. You could do about three of those down there and run your uninstruct down from one angle iron to the other and then you could put your solar Panels on That you won't have to be overwhelming.

What a great job, looking forward to you putting a roof one for more rain water collection. That roof I think includes a covered outside area too. Have you looked at ambition strikes? They are both engineers so I feel that should give their structures integrity cred. Love watching the progress with all of you as you all seem so positively connected, great to see that kind of teamwork too despite the frustrations that may arise during a build. When I built I sometimes had the cranky skies as got tired and sometimes frustrated with some problems that arose.

To vent the fridge you can cut lines on the back of the shelf that it sits on allowing airflow to come up from under the self.

There's plenty of room under it, but the air needs to pass over the back up and out.

On the shelf the refrigerator sits on pull out far enough so you can drill either four 1 inch holes or three 2 inch holes this will help ventilation remember to measure from the inside of the feet

You don’t need to vent under it (there aren’t holes in the floor under your fridge). The hot air needs to be able to rise up and out the back.

Wow, that’s a flagship of milking sheds if ever there was one. I wonder if you can drag the hose in and squirt it out like we did with the milk shed at home on the station? Everything just got washed out the door because it was basically a concrete floor and tin walls. You could have guests stay overnight in this, it’s very flash.

Get your piece angle arm and stretch all the way across the top.Well, to brackets 2 pieces, angle arms sticking up, stick the angle arm to it.Where's flat on top fastened to the other angle?Arm on the side, then run your panels on top of that.All the way across you could do that.All where cross the thing and You could put your panels on a angling system to where you can angle them up or down by putting notches in alarm to Think about it

They make brackets for shipping containers that don’t puncture the walls or roof that allow for you to skin the exterior with insulation and any king of siding you like. It would really take this thing to the next level and clean up the look. Do you have a plan for the exterior?

QQQQ. Why use expensive cattle tanks for dog barrier instead of more cattle fence &/or gate? If you use as planters, is there sufficient sun on that side of the barn and that is a lot of dirt to fill them also?

They're just physical barriers for now. Not planning on planting anything in them. Quickest way to protect it.

I’m really surprised you guys did not paint that container first, it would blend in a little better to the desert scenery. I grew up milking goats, and I didn’t have no fancy container like that.
