To clarify, you spent the day in Kurashiki, which is a different city than Okayama as evidenced by it having it's own city hall. Fun fact: the same architect that designed Ivy Square designed the (IMO) super tacky looking Kurashiki City Hall. The thing is, you skipped over the sights that Okayama is known for such as Korakuen (one of the 3 top gardens in Japan) as well as the castle and a chance to paddle boat or kayak on the Asahigawa River. There are also a multitude of shrines and temples within the boundaries of Okayama City. Nothing against Kurashiki, but Okayama has its own charms which are worth visiting.
