I never cared about who were real Jews or who weren’t because I’ve skated felt Judaism was a religion that you could join. It does seem that there were some black Jews in Spain and Portugal leading up to their expulsion. It also seems there might have been some black Hebrews. I don’t buy into conspiracies and what not but the evidence I’ve seen just makes me think that either middle eastern people used to be dark enough to be mistaken for blacks or that there is was a bit more diverse than I originally thought.

The Hebrews are now and always have been Levantine. Not African. No doubt there are and were black Jews. Just as there are and were pasty white northern European Jews. But in either case they only exist by conversion. Not genetics. Abram, later known as Abraham. Later still known by many Christians as Father Abraham came from Ur. Which is located in modern-day Turkey. You simply can not explain that away.
