My daughter and son in law served at Fort Greeley. My daughter served her last 3 years of her 10 years there as a full time National Guard. She moved there in 2004. Her husband just retired after 20 years. Both are from Minnesota. Alaska is a beautiful state. They live in Delta Junction.

I stopped make up as soon as I was no longer working in an office job, no more heels dresses, nylons and I am much happier. I don’t go crazy with my hair unless it is a special occasion, I had a perm put in and all I have to do is wash put a stay in conditioner pick it out and let it dry done!

My daughter had to go to Nome Alaska for educational business, and was dumb founded by the way people enjoy there Life. She said she was in her winter jacket and everyone else was in shorts. And the sun seamed to never set and everyone stayed up for many hours on end.

The Alaskan life is the Hamm family. They live in Alaska. And Costco also has a I think its called business division. I think Lauren said it's in the old Sam's club building. The hamm's and the somers are both good Christian family's. Only been to Costco couple time's I prefer Sam's.

Costco treats their employees better the the other warehouse clubs I worked for Costco for 19 years. I always said I would never work for any Sam’s. Club or Walmart if it was the only place on earth

You can melt paraffin wax and soak the moose poop in it, and use them for fire starters, they will burn for a while!!!

I drove six hundred miles to move home here in the UK, from the southernmost point of England right up to the top of Scotland! And I thought I'd done a really clever thing. But you guys Put me to shame. I have always wanted to do a train journey through part of Canada and up through into the mountains. So I am very jealous of your trip. And through to Alaska😺. My husband had problems hearing. His ears was full of ear wax. His doctor could not get it all out so he had to see an ENT for 2weeks in a row before his ears was out. His hearing greatly improved

When I was a kid, my dad was stationed at Ft. Wainwright, Alaska in Fairbanks for about 3 1/2 years. We lived up there from 1966- late 1969. We were there during the big flood of Fairbanks and Ft. Wainwright and I was ages 9-12 . I loved living there!

I believe that there is 3 kinds of fires. Ground fires are under the surface. Surface fire is on top. And crown fires that are up in the tree tops .

Oh the joy of wearing a moose nugget necklace. 😁 been to greely, too. I eventually bought early printings of LT Greely’s research. My friend was a gold miner up there. Glad your RV survived the trip! I remember driving in the front of a pickup from anchorage to Fairbanks and one of the guys played the only cassette he had on a boom box the whole time. It was guns and roses. I grew to dislike them. ❤️👍🏽. Barrow is the most north I have ever been. Literally parachuted in. Fun times.

Brett, your $10 goes towards the actual construction and maintenance of the campground. You were commenting on the size of the campsites and the first thing I noticed was the amount of gravel and how well it was maintained. It wasn't like it was some little trail with patches of ground for campsites that you might not be able to pull out of if it rained overnight!

Velcro is a wonderful product, when my granddaughter was in her playpen and started walking she would push her playpen wherever I went. I had to really think of how to keep her in one spot. I ended up putting Velcro on 2 sides of the bottom rungs. Then when she tried to push it she pushed her playpen really hard and it didn’t move. I got a look of surprise from her but her mummy and daddy were over the moon as she was doing the same thing at home. Her other Nan couldn’t get Velcro fast enough to stop her travelling around her place as well. This granddaughter has just made me a great grandmother on the 9 May to a gorgeous baby girl. Another May baby in our family, my own birthday is in 9 days. There’s also aunts, several cousins and lots of dad’s friends who are May babies as well. Happy birthday Madam Mayor.
