A lot of people are saying we should keep players like Coufal, JWP, Antonio, etc, as they could be useful coming off the bench. But isn't that holding them back from starting at another club? I think we aren't ruthless enough

Irons change in approach is required, the defense needed urgent surgery. The new players will need time to gel but that's Team J-Lo's job to drill the new approaches

Not sure letting Zouma go on a free is even ruthless? Seems we are doing him a favour, he gets a longer contract and an opportunity to actually play. Zouma was a great defender, we know he can’t do it in Prem anymore and he must know too, so as frustrating as it is for us , imagine how he must feel, he knows more than us what he has lost. I wish him all the best.

Personally, I love what is happening. Soucek doesn't suit Lopetegui's play style because he's not good enough on the ball, but he's his country captain, so he needs to be playing. Reckon Coufal follows him. Zouma I'm surprised we are willing to let go on a free, get he's not the player he was, but still thought he's lower end PL quality. We need new leaders and seeing all this change is exciting to me.

I agree with a lot of what you have said… I just worry that too many changes can upset the apple cart. If we are looking at a new RB and another new CB… that’s 3 out of 4 changes in the back line. Then you have Guido who isn’t going to wanna stay on the bench. Kudus in a 10.. Summerville and Fullkrug will be starting. The problem isn’t JUST the changes but it’s also putting them all in the starting line up 😅😂

We had a woeful second half to last season, I can’t remember how many games we won but it was almost zero as we limped along and failed to get a European slot. If we play with Areola Emerson Alvarez (when he’s fit of course) Paqueta Bowen Kudus that’s just over half of last seasons first team. I still think we could do better than our end to last season at the beginning of this one. I hope we are patient.

Cresswell has just 1 year contract and I don't see why we don't keep him due to being able to play in a back three and backup for Emerson.

What's this nonsense about to much ruthlessness...is this some kind of modern woke mindset ,, The manager see's what's needed and buys and sells the players that he needs to achieve his goals. ( and the goals of the club )..Do we think we are going to hurt someone's feeling because we are moving on a player earning 100,000 a week at West Ham to 100,000 a week at another club ..Not to mention the 5% cut of the transfer fee that the player receives..
