Great analysis I was abit sceptical about hiring potter but he’s been a breath of fresh air for us think next season we will be a very good team ⚒️

As with all players in the squad they just need good coaching.....JLo and his staff didn't do this, Moyes had just old school ways , Potter is a good progressive coach...luck may have finally arrived at West Ham....Good game review, Potter should subscribe to Babbling Irons as well, he would learn something

Good assessment Frankie. What we saw - eventually - yesterday was a coach who can change tactics and a group of players who believe in what he is telling them to do. As Potter has said himself, it is not who the player is but that they play the system they have been coached to do. Long may it continue

Think I would have Casey and soler in there instead of Rodriguez and coufal would allow Alvarez to go into the middle Summerville on the right like last time and soler to hopefully be able to find a pass to get us out
@paunixon7 күн бұрын
Agree Frankie. Two good managers, one good team. I do think Roddy, Alvarez and Soucek in the midfield is asking for us to be swamped by pace. I'd have paqueta and soler there. Soucek up front to nod it in. Scarles instead of Emerson. There can only be one result here, just hoping we show resiliance, some youth and no red cards... This is pre-season for us, with Potter getting to grips with the lack of a quality. He'll be getting a great idea of who to start, who belongs on the bench, and who should be collecting a pension.

Definetly don't want Jimmy as a wing back. Need his threat further forward and protect his hamstring a bit!
@TonyHammer617 күн бұрын
I think he would be excellent at RWB. He showed that first half at Villa
@robertcowie82307 күн бұрын
Only way the hammers will get a result is because of Potter, the majority of our available players other than the academy kids are not up to the high standards of being a complete premiership player so cross fingers for Potter magic....Great vlog again

Would want Orford instead of Alvarez or Soucek ideally. But hopefully get 30 mins
@DavidGreen-ot2ni7 күн бұрын
I'll bring in Cresswell at left center back, Scarles wing back. Emerson ahead of him. Summerville on the right wing back. Kudus and Paqueta in the middle. Areola. Wan Basaka,Kilman,Cresswell. Scarles, Alvarez, Soucek, Summerville. Emerson,Paqueta, Kudus

in a 3-4-3 it's crucial either the CB Mav/Kilman needs to go tight to Eze and Wan-Bissaka needs to tuck in so the ball goes out wide. or Mav/Kilman holds his position slightly covering the wing back and Wan-Bissaka presses Eze We don't have the midfielders to play this type of game. Soler/Irving/Orford 2 of those alongside 1 of Alvarez/Soucek and Guido will resolve that problem. There is no expectation for this season, but if there isn't, play the Youth and rotate the squad so everyone plays

Guido needs to play his natural game, sit back. Stay Central and patrol that space in front of The defence Lop started demanding that he push high up the pitch and we're starting to see it under Potter 2 as well. It's not good Souck has never had the positional discipline to play defensive Mid, it also takes away from his biggest which is his engine Would have liked to see paq drop into Central midfield, palace always stood back whenever he had the ball and gave him time, He was the one guy they were instructed not to aggressively press

It depressed me, the way we played. Potter has his work cut out, despite our injuries we were particularly poor and we need to do much better against teams like Palace. The table is so close, a win can boost someone up. I don’t know, perhaps it’s because I’m tired, I’m just a bit worn out with it all. Thanks for this video guys.
@markr87811 күн бұрын
What was frustrating and I hope Potter addressed it afterwards was the fact that Orford was showing and asking for the ball and Mav (and Kilman) ignored him and were trying to find another options when you should have trusted him and played it to him. With trust they'll find out how good he can be.
@obsidiancurse42911 күн бұрын
Killman can’t defend and you can’t defend the way he kept backing off and gave that goal away. That’s just basic, has nothing to do with being partnered with Mav imo. I may be misremembering but I seem to recall Mav played alongside Todibo and looked ok?

Guys, is the limit for loans 2 overseas and 2 from say the premier league?
@robertcowie823011 күн бұрын
Potter, any coach will always have issues if there’s no quality players to do the job, squad needs to be revamped, Steidten needs to go though maybe he’s not the cause as you never know the full story … Sullivan is a constant problem Again its a lack of quality players, for example to still have Soucek starting games this season is a picture of how sad this squad is
@DagenhamOutlet11 күн бұрын
Kilman is shit lads. No way is he a £40m defender,we are shipping loads.
@MakeWestHamGreatAgain11 күн бұрын
The attention is on mavropanos but Kilman is so poor for the price we paid. 7 year deal 40 mil. Has to be up there with our worst ever signings
@danieldacosta435011 күн бұрын
Great stuff gents. We felt suffocated without the ability in the team to break free. Zero shots on target with no real centre forward, a very pedestrian midfield, nervy error prone CBs & a nearly 40yr old GK...apart from that we did alright!!! Think we'll need to grit teeth, let Potter learn for the summer and just get through this difficult season without getting too close to relegation..

Thanks Mike and Sloth. I would sooner have Hughes than Rodrigues. Palace are on a great run and they have a good manager now, he’s doing wonders. We have key injuries but Potter likes to tweak tactics during the game and that’s so refreshing after our last two Managers. I’m looking forward to this one. Most West Ham fans are predicting a draw but I think we should get a win against teams like Palace at our home ground. 3-1 to us. Ambitious prediction. COYI.

Top work Frankie! Kieran is always a wonderful guest who has consistently broken down the nonsense that owners trot out to justify their spending and balance sheets. But the consistent themes of the value of club community and mateship providing their own benefits to the league and club owners is so important and why so many clubs are pushing back again the consumerist approach. Thank you to you both a great interview.
