I know my mum fell into this trap when my dad died, she was seeing this woman called psychic Sally. I kept telling my mom that she's a fraud but she didn't want it to see it. But I do think its comforting for them I mean you would do anything to try and talk to a dead relative. Even tho the whole thing is a complete scam and I think they know its a scam but I think the victims and the "physics" its a scam but they dont want to admit it
