I'm tentative about praising a meditation app because every single one I liked eventually limited my access to meditation, lessons to grow, and thus meditate better behind pay walls. I could not afford them and eventually slipped back down into the familiar quiet distress of the mind. It might be a big ask for something so labor intensive to make, but if this gorgeous app could remain accessible as it is, it would be a great help to the many lost and tortured minds looking for help and relief. Appreciation might not be enough but I thank you all for all your work

@obcacywilizacja8483 bro first of all not everyone is American and or can spare that cash, second of all the apps I used to use like calm and balance charge way more than $5. Be understanding

@@MandoCarlrisian I’m not American either but I do understand that making those apps requires a lot of work and it’s understandable that people want to make some money out of it. You also should be understanding towards the people who put hard work to create those apps. Medito is free because it’s a nonprofit foundation, so it is a true blessing, but because of it it also has its flaws as people can’t put as much work into it as if they were getting money from it. Besides, all those apps are really affordable and a lot of them even have discounts for ppl from the poorer countries if you ask them.

Dude what is wrong with you man, is it your business? Leave him alone man, he has different background than urs, 5 dollar sometimes is alot of money to many people, besides all I saw from his comment was he appreciated medito's free work and he told us that he could not afford other meditation app and so he appreciated medito, he did NOT disrespect any of those apps then why did you go wild for such things?!? Not everyone'life is the same, dont try to teach people as if you knew everything about life man.

I manage to let normal breathing rhythm take control by breathing lightly, and almost relaxing into the natural rhythm focusing on the air passing through my nose, It’s hard to describe so I feel for anyone who struggles with it! Edit: breathing lightly and quietly too, near silently

thank you sm, I thought I was the only one struggling with this. But recently I've been experimenting with rather paying attention to my surroundings and more of the little sensations on the body - by reducing the hyper focus on the breath, I am able to sometimes end up letting go of that control and just feel it as part of the rest of tiny sensations and sounds around me

Never in my life have I ever donated to an app, I love medito so much that I filed for volunteering. It's embedded into my day and I'm currently 55 days in, though still I found the process of letting go of breathe control is on its own a feeling to be mindful OF, same as relaxing your limbs, try to feel abd be mindful of giving control to the current of your body. This is what helped me get past my moment of frustration. Hope this helps someone out there

That's a very insightful quote. I think the the discomfort with the breath and, for me at the moment a discomfort in sitting, could be a meditative opportunity to witness how we habitually approach our life at different times.

Its very rare but an app that does not take a membership to teach how to meditate is like a gift to us! Meditation should not just be locked behind a pay wall, its meant for everyone regardless of their age, caste , race etc. Thank you for Medito .

Fascinating. If you take that logic just a little further, it implies that some people would find it difficult to consciously experience a thought without claiming it as a part of them. I think maybe that's part of why a single negative thought or feeling can make me so anxious sometimes. "If I'm having this thought, I must believe it."

It's an interesting topic. If I do manage to let go of the breathe, it becomes so shallow that I struggle to use it as a meditation practice. So I have (been starting to) accept that a better meditation for me is to keep control of the breathe, keep it a bit deeper (and from the nose; without focus I breathe from the mouth) and use it as an anchor that way.

When I started meditation it was quite irritating, I got an Idea how about I feel my heartbeat. It's interesting I always meditate lying down and one hand on my chest feeling the heartbeat and I have noticed things that I had no idea about if you cut out all the sounds and focus on your heart beats you can feel beats in your head (actual beats) and someone parts of your body. Sometimes when I am focusing too hard I forget to breath because that will enhance your ability to actually feel the blood flow and the beats in your body. At night I just count my heartbeats when I am not able to sleep and trust me it works like magic!!! I have never got more than 300 I just fall asleep. At times you will miss beats or get lost in thoughts just get back to counting or just feeling it from were you remember you left.

Is it okay to take deep breaths while meditating? I like to take deep breaths because it makes it easier to focus on the breath.

I think the main idea to be AWARE or MINDFUL of whatever you are doing, even if it is conscious deep breathing.

This has nothing to do with the video, but I've noticed you often say "observe your thoughts". Do you mean you should notice when they pop up and just let them go? Because I never really notice them, I just all of a sudden realize I'm thinking about something and then it disappears
@Medito
@Medito Жыл бұрын
It can take a lot of practice to be able to notice your thoughts as they arise. Try asking yourself the question "what will my next thought be?" And then watch to see what comes up. Although often this leads to a very quiet mind 😂

I do not like this explenation. Isn't this doing mode? Isn't this automatic pilot in the sense, that as soon we start to meditate, we go into the stage where we expect that breathing should take place now? One can see this, when one is trying to focus on something else. The focus on the breath is most of the time not dismissed by focusing on something else.
