I walk 8-10 miles/day - no breathlessness unless I am walking at elevation or up a steep hill; I DO get breathless upon exertion - lifting a heavy ladder, etc. I also get breathless when I bend over at the waist (90 degrees) to put the harness on my dog. I have watched your videos on POTS... I have to watch further, as I didn't see a remedy. I had an echo and it showed my heart is structurally normal with no valve problems. I am scheduled for a Heart Flow Analysis (vs. the nasty Angiogram w/dye) in the next month, so we shall see what that says. I am seeing my cardiologist in two days and am going to mention the breathlessness and ask for a chest xray, just to rule things out. Keep up the great work - we all appreciate your knowledge and empathy.

@@turbompson4546 The cardiologist would not give me a referral for either of these things; he did give me a referral to an electrophysiologist. In the meantime I've started taking d-Ribose to the effects of "calcium leaking outside the cells" - within the heart. I don't know if I have this, but a recent DEXA scan shows some bone loss (even though I was a daily runner for 47 years and still walk as noted above)... my belief is that the calcium that I ingest is not being "absorbed into the bones" - and could be floating around where it doesn't belong. In addition, I'm now taking K2 to drive the calcium into the bones, and potassium (to balance out the calcium)

@MzDaUgly hey. I am a but scared too but beta blockers don't work for everyone. Did u have these issues before BETA BLOCKERS?? I GOT all types of odd breathless issues. Also as .mich as I hate to say this anexity issues run in my family. . I am 50 and been told I have anexity issue since I was 32. I love the beta blocker but decided to stop them when cardio doc did not want me on them 48hrs prior to a stress test so when he said that it discourage me. Never STOP taking then or any med without doctors approval. I did it on my own but slowly. Again not under my doctors approval. I am sure .y blood pressure it a wreck. But I also went straight keto diet which tends to help bp... you are so young so.. I would def rethink what ur systems where before beta blockers. We're u given this only for blood pressure and sinus tachycsrdia?? Many people get on meds for high heart rate due to sinus tachycardia but sinus tachycardia is normal for all types of situation. So people have it when they are taking to much caffeine or diet is not right. Also were u Vax? Did this stuff happen after Vax. Some other things need to be looked at. About six months ago I started having extreme breathlessness in the early morning hours around 02.00-03.00 (in the morning). On the third morning I actually hyperventilated and could not sleep. I went to the ER and had all the relevant testing. They finally gave me an inhaler as I requested in the first place and I left with a follow up appointment. I was looking at my blood work results and found I was very anemic. They never even mentioned this to me. It has taken months of increasing my iron intake via diet, food combining to help absorption and supplementation (also breathing exercises). Feeling very well now. I also bought a jump rope to use during the day as my work is centered around the computer. My point is look at your blood tests. If there isn't enough oxygen in your RBCs damage and death can happen. Thank you for your video 🙂

I'm done with all medications for close to 6 months now and im healthier than ever before and lowest bodyfat % and most muscle mass now. The system had me for years. Never again. This eased my anxiety a bit hearing that if it was a heart problem it would get worse with exercise. I think I have bad anxiety attacks and the last 3 days I’ve been having trouble breathing when I’m not laying down. Exercise and Yoga help (or at the very least, temporarily reduce breathlessness).

I am a man aged 70 who suffers with breathlessness caused by angina which was only diagnosed about 10 years ago even though it started to be a problem 30 years ago....I started to struggle on stairs and even collapsed once or twice, but never had any chest pain until 10 years ago when I began to experience chest pressure on walking uphill which became a problem. But if I stopped for just a few seconds the pressure subsided. It was a strange sensation but I literally could not take another step, I felt like something inside was about to burst open!Anyway I had the angiogram ,got the angina diagnosis...I have more than one narrowed artery, and I was given the Nitromin spray which I never got on with....It did not prevent the breathlessness,in fact it made it worse ...I literally had to wait for the stuff to wear off before I could take a single step.Believe it or not I still have not used up the first spray I was given 10 years ago!But lately my symptoms have worsened and I often feel like I am about to pass out even walking up a slight incline and I start staggering like a drunken man,It's made me reluctant to go out but I am alone and need to get to the shops on foot.

Thanks again Dr Guptor. Yes I presented to my GP with breathlessness and medicated last July. No remission so my GP naturally passed me to a certain Respiratory Consultant who diagnosed Dysfunctional Breathing which was passed back to my GP with no BNP taken by the consultant. More exercise/treadmill and gym work needed apparently. One week later extremely acute breathlessness, back to hospital and the receiving doctor echoed and found heart failure within 30 minutes.

I can relate to you all. I am short of breath and it all started 9 months ago. Seen a pulmologist, cardiolist, and some many trips to the PC. Lungs are fine, they did all kinds of test my lungs check out good. I do have AFIB but only occasionally after much study and research I don't think its my heart causing it but it could be. The labored breathing is such a mystery I can't figure it out. I am fit I walk miles every day and not out of breath. I had a stress test done (2 hours) on the treadmill everything was near perfect. Even now as I type when I take a deep breath every 2 or 3 breaths dont' seem to fill the lungs but I can breathe. It is so strange to try to find the cause. Could be plain ole anxiety. I lost my wife 5 years ago and my son 3 years ago lots of stress and the pros say stress is aculmulative it never leaves you you just manage it throughout your lifetime. I deep breathe this sometimes helps. Its like something in either my gut or diaphram is causing it. Still looking for answers. The docs don't know what it is, they just tell me what it IS NOT..more or less. My minerals I take daily I have a great diet I walk I do all the things you are supposed to do. I many never find out but I will not stop trying.

@@devendra4233 Ya it is a crazy thing All my life I have been good. It is either a mineral dificicency, stress, physical issue (which I am trying t rule out) or something else. I made a list and wrote down the following. Good or bad marriage, unforgiving someone, bad relationship somewhere, Physical trama, in trouble with the gov or something, or some other issue..all of them checked out. The only thing that seems to keep coming back to me is one thing STRESS. That's where I am thinking is causing this breathlessness especially losing 2 of my loved ones which was real hard on me. But even then still not sure. I didn't have stress breathing issue before they died, that I know. Well I will continue to update the findings.

I smoke daily, take about 300mg of caffeine daily, and drink alcohol 4-5 beers a night. I’m really gonna start trying to change my lifestyle/bad habits- cause this is scary. And it’s keeping me from sleeping. Thanks to everyone who posted a comment and thank you Dr. for the video. Good luck to everyone experiencing this same thing. - And God bless.

I do have a idea on how to stable your breathlessness , it worked for me , but im not sure if it work the same for you. 1. Dont panic and sit up right 2. Dont take a deep breathe for as long as you can 3. Try to focus on something else that can fully distract you from the breathlessness Keep in mind that this is a idea from a random stranger and *NOT* a docter.

Thank you Doctor. I use to get breathlessness and gasping almost every minute to get some breath. i kept waking up every few minutes on sleep gasping for air due to stopped breathing midsleep, that it really scares me as i hardly sleep for a week as IM afraid to die midsleep not breathing. But it doesnt affect my exercise especially football or futsal (as its actually a lung demanding sport) instead i only feel better when im doing sport. Then i realized Its actually Acid reflux disease instead of heart disease. Then i fix my eating schedule i also take medication like sucralfate. But i think the one that helps me the most is doing jogging almost every morning and afternoon. I really get the getting better feeling from doing that. Rn im much healthier even tho sometimes i also still get breathlessness but its coming just from my anxiety. And this video helps me get through it. Thank you do

Same here. I am looking under every fucking rock right now. So far I have found out for me specifically, that it might be an anxiety attack in work. I am getting off caffeine right now and I'm reading that anxiety can be a major issue when quitting caffeine. It also might be connected to exhausted adrenal glands which is typical when you consume caffeine heavily. Most of the anxiety symptoms prove right for me so I think this is something I need to figure out. Can also be COPD, but in my case, I have no mucus and when I distract myself in bed with watching something or reading, then suddenly it's back to normal. So, I just read/ watch myself to sleep as a temporary treatment until I figure how to fix the stress or deficiencies that I might have...
