Totally agree with your vision here. I also feel as if she would have used very light blue contacts that would have represented the purity. Another thought.. Actually make the wings, and form them to go around the shoulders to her chest area. She is so good with creating prosthetics, along with body painting.

It’s a shame body paint doesn’t come in different finishes! Super matte, satin, glossy etc. so you could use only white and have that 3D effect

First, this turned out so incredibly amazing!!!! If you wanted to do this style again in the future, may I suggest blue? As a painter, I often accent white with blues or golds. I find it creates a softer blend that the eye perceives as natural shading thanks to clouds. Just wanted to share my experience, don't want to downplay your work!!! You look so good!!!!

YESSS, whenever i try to shade anything i want to be pure white i always end up using light blues and grey, it creates a really cool ethereal look but then i always end up using too much and it turns a little murky but it all works out in the end!

Tip! If you want to have variations in white, use blues to intensify the shadows, it usually works for me. The same for intensifying black. I know there’s a scientific reason for this, but I can’t really remember. I think something to do with true blue not being in nature much? Awesome look though!

They both turned out really cool! I wanted to say that I’ve seen some artists use very light blues as a way to shade white, I don’t know how that would work with body painting, but maybe? Just if you ever have another white character in the future. Also maybe you could start with a light beige, then use a cooler time for shading and tons of stark white for highlights all over?

An idea for doing white wings or anything white really, use blue as your shading colour with the white on top of it. Even a dash of purple in the darkest shadows works very well.

This is amazing! Remember that for white wings, the feathers aren’t fully white! Very light yellow is usually present or grey; then you can use grey separate them.

Amazing! When you were doing the white on white(the 1st attempts), did you try doing a light and darker light gray(like here kinda) to outline the white on white? I love a challenge, would you be willing to try an angel again and not be afraid to use other colors like silver and or golds? I've struggled just painting dimension and shading on my face, but I am able to execute it in my mind or even on paper after in my mind, but when I get to doing it on face or body, it completely turns into a hot mess LOL You're amazing!
