I think this is an important mindset in life. If we are more focused on who we become, then it makes it easier to gauge what is not helping us reach our goals.

I feel this. I’m 37 and a CFO and it’s exactly where I want to be at this stage of my career and life. But I want to aspire to keep leading and learning and eventually move to a bigger corporation. I keep asking myself what skills I need to keep working on, where do I need to sharpen because in another 3-4 years I plan to be on the job hunt again looking for another challenge.

i been an accountnant ifor 8 years i hated it i was a staff for 6 years made 00 progress or promotion!!! i just got my CPA and i just dont know lol worst career ever

A staff for 6 years? That seems like a very long time. Why do you think the career progression was slow?

@@BryanCarretoCPA hi :) big fan lol here! well my firm was small, all the seniors and mgrs never left... there was no room for my growth and nothing was added to grow me, I assumed all firms were like this so i got depressed and acted my wage. in the pandemic i was whf so i stayed home making 45K while i did not know new grads 0 experience were making 78K!! so while i was at home depressed others had whole careers! lol IDK i guess i ha no guidance and no motivation as i just felt lack of support ohh and my co workers are ass holes! they are rich, yet soo bitter! just nasty naturally unhappy i am a CPA now tho making 115K but since i didn't act i missed out on the USA mortgages of 2%-4% :( now im really hopeless lol but i have $$$ just not a good time economically to grow

@manoftomorrow5987 because I didn't choose this profession I just wanted to make donuts but I can't open my dream shop because all my money goes to my disabled parents I'm like mulan living a lie
